Help with equipment on English Garden
I've done an English garden I was really proud of but just got two stars on equipment. It contained tool shed, oodles of auto water thingies, classic fountains, a pergola, the wrought iron bandstand thing, an arbour with hanging armchairs on composite wood base, benches, a pond, birdhouse, bird drinker, various sculptures, flower boxes, flower beds, stepping stones, leafy hedges and climbing plants on the outside of the house. The only thing that may be a bit dubious is I did some paths using the borderless granite paving slabs and also added an enclosed children's playground hidden behind some deciduous bushes and rhododendrons. It's the house in a thicket one. Anyone got any ideas?

Plants for the english garden are the easiest. I got 25% from just plopping down a bunch of different roses.

My English gardens have the following, and get full stars: lots of pergolas, lots of benches, lots of ponds, the wooden gazebo, TONS of flowers (lots of roses), lots of "garden pot" items, stepping stones as pathways (and only stepping stones), LOTS of deciduous fences to create nooks and corners, as many vines as I can fit on walls, lots of fountains.

Wooden furniture and flower pots in the gazebo. Wood and stone only; no plastic or metal as main material on items.

Thank you for the necro :) I suppose the easiest thing to do is to spam roses but I thought I'd go a bit further. These days sometimes I just mow the lawn and sell the house - depends on my mood.

Yes, I did learn eventually to do all the pathways, garden ponds, bridges etc. When you've finished it's quite something but you've got to be in the mood. Doing the houses will always be my first love.

I read elsewhere on here that you needed a *metal* gazebo -- here it says wooden.

Do either work? If not, which one?

Either work but with an English Garden more is best so I tend to put both in. Separate them with hedges or tall flower beds and stepping stones or bridges to connect them.
