Which is harder, this game or Metroid Prime 2: Echoes?
I've always heard Echoes is the hardest Metroid game (Probably harder than even Dread). So I wanted to find out if it's as hard as Wolfenstein II which is the hardest Wolfenstein game right now, at least depending on how much more brutal Wolfenstein III is going to be.

Never played metroid 2. From what little I've seen on youtube. The sheer fact alone that the game aims for you and you mash A makes it seem like a game designed for kids.

Honestly this game isn't that aim intensive. You effectively shoot at enemies that slowly peak from cover. Stand haphazardly with slow reaction times, and power jog between areas.

Your biggest hurdle in this game is really just the multitude of different enemy types, from speeding dogs. Giant mutant soldiers with armor. Giant robot dogs with insane armor, and stupid enemy spawns, and hordes of nazi soldiers that drove in the multitudes.

From what I remember from metroid prime 1, the only correlation I can make between this game and that, is that you'll get lost pretty often on your first playthrough, wondering where the heck you have to go.

There are many mechanics in this game that are intensely underdeveloped and under utilized. That includes color and lighting, something you often take for granted in games as they'll indicate and help guide you to where you have to go.
This game does not do a good job of providing that to you as with most first time let's plays and playthroughs.

And yeah, obvious I'm one such person who got frustrated at metroid prime for how often I got lost in that game.
