Change Graphics Card?
So i own a laptop. It has 2 graphics cards in it. A NVIDIA GTX 1050 and a Intel UHD Graphics 630. I can barely run my game. But i had a gtx 1050. But i realized the game was using my second unused graphics card. Is there any way to change the graphics card input?

The game is likely using the 1050 GTX as I don't think the Intel 630 would run it. Try lowering the Graphic Quality and see if that helps.

In the Hardware manager you can check that the GTX 1050 is the Default Card, it should be.

Check out the Game Mod Guides for info and How-to's that might help.

Best of luck :steamhappy:

thank you for this respond, but it is using the intel 630. as by showing performace stats it showed Itel 630. also in task manager it showed my gtx 1050 only 5% and my intel 630 around 80% or so.

If that is the case you have to go into device manager and set the 1050 GTX as the default card. That should fix it

Open NVIDIA Control Panel and make a custom profile for this game. Make it set to use the high performance GPU.

I have the opposite problem, because the Intel Arc A770 doesnt support VR i have a GTX 1050 Ti just for VR but this stupid game keeps defaulting to the 1050 Ti and promptly complains about not having enough VRAM, the A770 has 16GB and is the equilvalent of a RTX3060, seems the game always defaults to the lowest GPU not the best.

I think what they basically meant is you resurrected the thread with a different issue, you should have started a new thread.

Also the game complains about vram on even 24gb cards, its a bug, its a known issue, plenty of threads on this.

Another also, I did a quite google/reddit search, quite a few people are using Intels Arc's for vr....

well its not working for occulus vr headset (the old version not meta quest) it displays an image of the desktop but doesnt interact with any vr program or game, or steam VR,

VRAM although given 24GB is very high the game maybe not seeing as 24 but as 2.4 given the age of the game, is supprising cause the game doesnt complain when paired with 16GB of the intel Arc.

it is the same issue its defaulting to the inferior GPU like his Laptop IGPU UHD 630

I simply meant that people randomly get the out of Vram message on all cards whether its 8gb, 10gb, 12gb, 16gb, 20 or even 24gb cards, Not everyone does, its random.

The game is not actually running out of vram its a known bug and just ignore the message.
