He IS a bit loopy.

Playing his timeline for my second playthrough, and he has nothing on Fergus.

The writing sounds like they had no idea what to do with the character, so they just made him high all the time. Very disappointing so far compared to Fergus, who is also downright hilarious on top of... Not being stoned.

Yeah, it felt like they wanted a replacement for Super Spech, but all they had was this realistic version of Charlie Brown to drop that on.

I think he was supposed to be funny and just wasn't. If they animated the crap he was seeing all the time like when he was talking to jimminy cricket it might have been funny, but him just ranting on about the universe was terrible. Can't sit through it again to see Fergus, but I clearly backed the wrong horse in picking Wyatt to start.

Wyatt needs his head crushed. I saved him in the first game and it all went down hill from there.

can't really blame him for witnessing the death of his friends from this game as well as "The New Order"

But I can blame anyone that would choose him over Fergus.

Fergus is the canon choice.

Wyatt is in both games though. I'm sure the snowflakes who don't understand how to win wars would still chose Wyatt.

I ythought we would at leaast get some insight into Seth device, all we got was "doorknob" and his rants about the metaphysical realm were... awkward.

Your insight resulted in you realizing you mad a bad choice.

I prefer Wyatt. His ending is 10x better than the Fergus one. Fergus is a good guy, but I just relate to Wyatt more. Also, sacrifing a kid to save an old man is every kind of backwards there is.

I understand your sentiment, but that's not what I'm doing. I'm sacrificing a novice to save a team and everything that team may accomplish. I've never been able to choose Wyatt. It's just the wrong command decision. With one space in the toolkit do I choose the hardened claw hammer or the Playskool mallet?

That said, I've got to make myself play both games with Wyatt to experience the differences. I'm, uh... re-excited by your "His ending is 10x better than the Fergus one." Hmm...
:)

Fergus is a seasoned vet. In War you need the guy with experience over the Nub. Plus Wyatt has a crazy problem.

Wyatt's ending almost seems like they realized that they had written complete garbage up until that ointment and had to redeem him somehow.

Had Wyatt been as well written through the main story as the end, he would have been a great character in TNC because he was a surprising asset in New Order.

I think that as had been suggested that if his hallucinations were visually added in, he could have been actually funny, but instead it was like every annoying druggie in TV/movies who are a babbling dimwit who is too high to be of any use. That alone made Fergus far more enjoyable in this game, and his overall writing and interactions were well executed.

The "door knob" tease was just another variation of the Fergus teaser, albeit with more detail, but it still dropped off for W3.
