24 fps rtx 2080?
I am running this game with an rtx 2080 i 7 6700k and 16gb ddr4 ram 850watt psu and 1 tb of free space. For some reason I can onl get 16-24 fps on 1440p at max settings. I read reports of near 60fps for gtx 1080ti users at 4k. I updated my drivers to rule that out. I looked on here for answers but found no one else with the same issue. Anyone have any ideas?

The RTXs just came out, so it kinda makes sense that there's some issues, especially with this game...

How? i have everything at Uber including the Uber Uber settings lol at 1440p with my 2080 FE getting nothing less than 144fps at all times. A few dips to 130fps but nothing like you're experiencing.

Have you tried reinstalling your drivers using the DDU method? It produces the cleanest driver install next to a clean format of windows

Get the latest version of DDU from:

Lesson learned? Never buy a newly released card. Give it at the very least a year and grab the GTX 1080, or even a Titan which goes pretty cheap during the holiday sales. They've had alot of time to test their recent cards. Even my GTX 1070 outperforms trials for the RTX cards in many games. I will get an RTX card next winter.

Personally I am the same. however remember the main reason for the cards release, no game uses yet. which is the ray tracing, once games start to use that feature, they should come into their own.

But the RTX cards really provide no value right now compared to the 10 series cards.

Thats weird... im running 1080ti, 32 gb 3000 RAM, i7 7700k @ 1440p, everything set on ultra settings and borderless window mode and I'm getting 170 fps avg... Are you running tons of programs in the background?

oddly its running at 85fps now on highest settings. Maybe somethig was running in the background. I shold probably do a fresh install of the drivers and remove all traces of mt gtx 1070 drivers as well.

Sorry this is Slightly off topic.

I have to ask in all seriousness, as you upgraded from a 1070. Can you actually see any difference. I only ask as my gtx970 still just about maxs everything at 1080p and still getting 60fps (as long as I do not select settings that go above my 4gb of vram), and from how much faster a 1070 benchmarks and from reading reviews on the 1070. It should handle any game at 1440 fine. If you are gaming higher, or just future proofing your machine then fair enough.

Again I am being serious, as I am thinking of getting a 1440p monitor as well as upgrading to a 1070 but if the 1070 cannot do 1440, then I may just wait a little longer for the 1080's to drop in price.

A 1070 is the right gpu for playing games at 1440p. I upgraded because I am playing games on a 4k TV at 60hz. Even with a 2080 some games struggle to reach 50 fps at 4k. I have found a lot has to do with which anti aliasing is turned on. Most games struggle with fxma but do not struggle with fxaa. Abother thing to consider is if your current cpu mastches your gpu. A i5 or i7 skylake from 2015 or newer wont hold back the 1070. However if you are running a much older i5 or i7 you might want to upgrade the entire mobo, cpu, gpu, and maybe ram.

24 fps? did you plug the power into the gpu ? :p

Perhaps you use a gsync monitor, turn off vsync in game, make fps limiter higher than 60. check the refresh rate.

Because 2080 is not 2080ti.
i7 6700k is not i7 8700k or i9 9900k.

We use 6700k Titan Xp CE 4K 55"
This game run flawless on 4K all maxed plus Nvidia Experience Experimental Features Max Detail, More Sharpness and other display features you can choose from.
Reshade and Sweetfx don't support Vulkan.

😄😄
Are you saying anti aliasing relies heavily on the cpu?

I have had similar issues in the past when running some PC games on a TV through an A/V receiver. Do you have another display you could use to run a few tests?
