Video driver has run out of dedicated memory?
At the main menu, it says "The video driver has run out of dedicated memory. Your gameplay experience will be negatively affected" I can't load my game, it's just a never ending loading screen.

Does anyone know what this means or how to fix this?

All my other games seem to be working fine. It's just Wolfienstien 2

It seems that plenty of people have the same issue including me. Game was working fine until yesterday but after Bethesda released new patch message "video driver has run out of dedicated memory" pops up. We have to wait for official fix for that problem I'm afraid.

Sigh, Ok, well I'm just glad there isn't something wrong with my computer.

Thanks for the info

When you say turn off Orgin. Do you mean sign out, or just exit it?

I got past the issue by going into advanced graphics settings and turning image streaming to low and lowering resolution. Turn them back up to where you had them before once in the game.

i forced it close via ctrl alt delete and then clicking end process, i suppose you could sign out and exit off it then make sure it's not running in task manager

it seems like everyone has a slightly different fix, a very weird issue they created with the latest update

This fixed the problem. Very annoying that I can't change all my settings back to ultra, I wasn't having any problems before the patch.

Thanks for all the replies.

There is a post pinned on the first page of discussion, this is a known issue with latest patch. Two things can help;

- Close Origin. Several people found that if Origin is running on your PC, even as a background task, contributes to this problem. CTRL+ALT+Delete and kill all Origin processes.

- pressing "E" before pressing "Enter" makes the "out of memory" message go away on the loading screen and then you can get into the game

I hope this helps until they fix the patch.

Bah, this doesn't work for me, seems to be helpful for others tho. I think I'm just going to wait it out until they make another update, the game really isn't that good anyways, luckily I got it really cheap. I could just play the game with normal settings, but I didn't get an expensive gaming computer to play on lower settings.

Very fustrating, this problem would never happen on consoles, I wish there was a way to get rid of the previous patch. I honestly don't know what they were thinking. This is the second time I've had problems playing this game.

Sorry for my english: I have fixed (at least for now):
Try following the options that this forum gives: https :/appuals.com/fix-wolfenstein-2-could-not-write-crash-dump/ (delet the dash between "https" and ":..." and copy the link.

The option that has worked to me is the one that disables the "Async" option from the game. How did i get into the game in a first time¡?, go to the steam option that checks the integrity of the archives and it worked to me (running the normal W2 and not the "safe mode", but if doesnt start to you anyways, try with the "safe mode").

I wish you good luck!
And hope bethesda gives a real fix patch my gosh.
