I didn't get much help so far though :-p
What's strange is that it doesn't appear in The New Order or Doom, which both supposedly use the same game engine, albeit through the OpenGl API, not Vulkan.
Which makes me think even more that it must have been a less than stellar job by someone at Machine Games, while building levels and aligning 3d assets and textures.
But then again, everyone around the world would be having the same issue, right?
Hope someone can light our lanterns, if there's a way to fix it.
First: White annoying sparkles on black areas and objects.
Second: 4k doesn't work properly and I get everywhere horrible black tearing line.
I spend a lot of time in attempting to solve that issues.
My Spec's:
i7 6700, 32gb RAM DDR3 2400, GTX 1080Ti 11Gb OC, X300S 1Tb SSD.
I play on 75 inch 4K HDR TV LG 75UH780V and many people have issues with Wolfenstein when they play on TV and especially with "white dots distortions !!! "
Solutions:
Solution 1: "Black Balk" (black tearing line): Enable 4K and Disable VSYNC and disable GPU culling in settings! That's it
Solution 2: "White dots noise/distortion": In my case, I spend a whole day in attempting to solve that horrible thing and finally I did it !!!! - In your TV settings disable "HDMI ULTRA HD DEEP Colour" !!!
Solution 3: To FIX problem with screen tearing enable VSYNC in drivers settings ! (that solution I find on the web and for me its work)
Thanks for your time and I hope you fix your problems!
i dont use display port, i have HDMI 2.0 and in settings of your TV you can disable HDMI ULTRA HD DEEP Colour
Turns out it was an issue that was due to the way the first levels were built and designed: textures sometimes were not properly joined, and white lines and dots would appear (this being especially true in higher resolutions)
I have come to this conclusion as I have recently played the game on a friend's PS4, and, although these issues were less prevalent (because of the lower resolution I think, which mitigates the issue), they were still there, just as we had them on the PC version.
A bit of a shame, but no driver switching/GPU card switching/screen switching/or cable switching will fix this. It's just the way the game is and these first levels were made.
Still a very fun game though!
