Stuck in Manhattan, no Lasergewehr

Finished the first missions including using a laser weapon which was so heavy, it was dropped (and lost) after changing to a different weapon. Now, in the start of Manhattan, I'm stuck and can't continue cause I got no weapon to blast the pipe doors and the diesel gun is out of ammo...

There should be a charger for the DKW in that room.

Dieselkraftwerk uses fuel, not electricy. I can not interact with the charger in any way :(

There are diesel chargers as well, they're red, look around more carefully.

Don't mind me here 4 years later playing this game (and im trash at games) but any resolution to this? I've exhausted diesel and grenades neither of which worked. Seems like without the laser you're stuck.

You need to find a diesal charger.

Below is a spoiler if you are very stuck.

When you get off the sub in the next room there is a Diesel refill station on the left and a laser refill point on the right.
if using the Diesel weapon Blow the first pipe and crawl through it the next pipe has a cover that have to be blown off from inside the pipe so move to the side where there are two Health Kits and fire a blob of Diesel through the pipe on that side and the cover pops off. Then blast the next cover inside the pipe off and crawl out to the next part.

ADDED: finally did it

All of this sounds great. but the diesel gun throws its blobs way-off centre and mostly when they explode they fail.

I've got through the first pipe and managed to open the first hatch of the second pipe, but the 2nd hatch cover of the second pipe is impossible. every blob that explodes does not blow open the hatch cover.

This is getting really annoying.

I got stuck here.
Probably a bug due to high FPS.

Go close to the hatch with the diesel gun and make sure the nade gets stuck on the hatch.
I was standing face-2-face with the hatch for it to work.

This is not a bug, u need to shoot by inside. On the left side, there is a hole.
