So how will this games pacing go with gameplay?
More of a question to developers, but i am sure i won't get an answer. I am just curious, because other games like DOOM, is so well paced that while there is story, it is mostly put on the back burner, and your main focus is just to kill every demon on sight.. I am hoping to also have an experience like that here, where gameplay is put WAY ahead of story, and i can just stay glued to my keyboard and mouse rather than just looking a tthe screen..

DOOM is one of my favorite Bethesda games just because of how it gives modern gaming a middle finger on the story bs, and pulls you head first into the gameplay, and doesn't let go. I just don't care about story in video games anywhere near as much as i do with gameplay. I played New Order, but thought its pacing was inconsistent, and made me want to just skip scenes. Hoping that has changed here.

Oh yeah, how the enemy reacted to gunfire was out of this world. The way the handful of bullet-sponge enemies reacted to gunfire was surprisingly engaging! One of the reasons I could never stand Borderlands gameplay was because those damn bullet sponge enemies had so little reaction to your gunfire, but in RAGE, they twist and convulse, stamp their feet and double back in pain, it felt so real considering how unreal the environments were!

I loved fighting the lower tier enemies at the beggining, even their death animations were fun! Planting a bullet in their knee and watching them summersault or popping one in the head and seeing his body continue stumbling forward only to keel over a second later.

I need to replay it again, all this talk of it is giving me Nostalgia and it may be the memories talking, but it's sounding much better in hindsight and it'll help with the wait for TNC. I played it on an old Nvidia 8800 and the game fried it halfway, had to continue on an AMD 6670 :P

Yeah no idea why they're still nto using that technology, DOOMs enemies were decent, like with the Imp's reactions ot beign shot at, but it still felt less impressive than Rages.
