Why is the constrictor contraption so dissapointing?
So, I found both the ramshackels and battle walker pretty fun but did anyone else not get much use out of the constrictor harness? I'm not really talking about the silent walking or the stealth slow time but the main feature, being able to fit in smaler places.

Now mind you, getting through pipes was useful but i maybe got 1 constricted combat takedown in 15 hours of gameplay. I think a lot of it has to do with the map layout and the fact that they didn't really stick in all that many useful constrictor places for combat and takedowns.

With the ramshackles they are always useful since you can ram through enemies and make them dead while making a dash from cover to cover.

With the battlewalker you can hide behind taller objects and shoot down on enemes attempting to use cover as well as using higher locations that enemies will have a hard time displacing you from.

The constrictor has no real use outside of stealth other than another movement power and the cardinal sin is that there were maybe 4 places at the most where use of the constrictor for takedowns was practical.

This also carries over to the perks for using both the battlewalker and the ramshackle vs the constrictor. Extra armor and ammo in a firefight or even stealthing after getting battered was a godsend. Extra movement speed while constricted though? I it felt super unnessary. The speed you already moved combined with sprinting in pipes and enclosed spaces meant that it was kind of a wast of time to try and get.

Same with the extra side bonuses for doing stuff on the Eva's Hammer. Armor regen, no overhealth loss out of combat and *drum rolls* extra time constricted without losing health. As stated, those above abilities are a godsend, especially when dealing with long, drawn out fights or going through multiple fights in a level. I once again never felt like "gee, if only i had just a little bit more time with the constrictor maybe i could pull of something cool".

Did anyone else feel this way or am i alone in this due to not seeing something that everyone else did?

Probably, I found constrictor very useful in New Orleans, especially in Lakeview, where you could easily do stealth takedowns from under a closed gate. Also in Roswell underground it was a real treat sometimes.

Even when the level design doesn't allow you to use the Constrictor, the MGSV-style "Reflex Mode" that comes with it helps a lot when going stealth. I'm talking about the "slow motion" when you are going to get caught.

I prefer it over Battle Walker.

The Constrictor's primary advantage isn't being able to crawl through small spaces, it's slowing time when enemies see you and making walking silent. Stealth is much easier with that thing.

That cause this one is bugged. There are multiple places in the game where you can should be able to fit and the game won't allow you to pass through it until you find that one spot/angle that it will finally let you pass.

I'm a patient and slow, so I found there was lots of places to use this ability. I just wish the ability was so buggy.
