So Bethesda wants to get involved in Politics?
I find it disgusting and disturbing that Bethesda Softworks and Machine Games have gone out of their way to compare the Trump Administration, and it's Republican, Conservative, Libertarian, Christian, Law Enforcement, Military Veteran supporters, and many others, to Nazis.

Nobody is defending Nazis, who are the scum of the earth, we're just angry that Trump supporters are being characterized by the liberal left as being Nazis. Anytime you disagree with liberals these days, you are labeled as being a Nazi. Pete Hines from Bethesda Softworks is trying to be cute by saying the following:

"Wolfenstein has been a decidedly anti-Nazi series since the first release more than 20 years ago. We aren't going to shy away from what the game is about. We don't feel it's a reach for us to say Nazis are bad and un-American, and we're not worried about being on the right side of history here."

He is trying to avoid the real issue here, which is not that the game is about killing Nazis, but rather that Bethesda are subtly comparing the Trump Administration to the Nazi regime of WW2.

In their marketing video for the game, they have the words "Not My America", which is something that they know full well, is chanted at violent protests by Antifa, who are a nation-wide group of violent Communists and Anarchists. Videos of these idiots are all over youtube for the world to see.

In Machine Games' very own tweet (below), they wrote the phrase "Make America Nazi-Free Again", which is a verfy obvious shot at President Trump, and his 'Make America Great Again' slogan..

Hollywood, the mainstream media, and academia, are all controlled by leftwing liberals and marxists, and now we're seeing the video game industry starting to put out their propaganda. I am so sick and tired of everything being anti-Trump, anti-Conservative, anti-Police and anti-patriotic everytime I turn on the TV to watch one of the late night comedy shows, an NFL football game or even just the evening news on CNN or pretty much any other news network.

If the video game industry wants to go down this road, then I'm done with video games. I do not play video games to get my daily dose of politically correct liberal leftist propaganda. When I sit down to play a video game, I want to escape from daily life, not to get clubbed upside the head with someone's political agenda. It's no coincidence that Hollywood boxoffice results are dropping year over year, and it's no coincidence that people are cancelling their cablevision in droves year over year or that nobody trusts the mainstream media anymore.

If the video game industry goes down this path, they can expect the same results as Hollywood, the mainstream media and cable TV. I can say 100% that I wont be purchasing this game, or any other game that is made by Machine Games or Bethesda. I don't need to put my money towards supporting a pair of companies who are, in my opinion, sublty encouraging political violence in the United States.

Then just play older games and wait for a newer game that doesn't do that crap then?

I feel like that's a real stretch. I'm no fan of lefties going wild but... Wolfenstein dates back to the 80s.

Sounds like somebody needs their safe space to avoid opinions that don't comport with their worldview! :steammocking:

Since you can't seem to turn on the TV or go online without being triggered, here's a solution: Turn off the TV and log out.

this is you're own interpretation. My interpretation is that they use this phrase rather as a plea to push back those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Because of the right-wing-populism popping up all over the globe radical groups like Fascists use the advantageous conditions to vindicate their goals. Many people are legitimately angry and dissappointed by their governments, so they start supporting people without informing themselves about what goals any of those groups pursue. Some of the Trump supporters are more likely racist rather than communists.

Awww, poor snowflake upset that their "very fine people" are represented in a game as being villians.

That tweet was the truth buttercup. Wolfenstein has always been about killing virtual nazis. They only said so online because so many of your kind were whining about it.

Also if we take that logic, shouldn't he be happy that the Nazis are now ruling the world - according to the game?

In their simple "minds," they're incapable of doing anything wrong. So even when made the victors of WWII, they're still offended over being realistically protrayed.

No it hasn't. The story starts as a prisoner in a dungeon. It's not about nazis more than it is a story of escape. Noone has a problem with the original. Can you imagine having black afros popping up in the original, with chain wearing rappers? That's crazy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is WHAT YOU SUPPORT NOW and think isn't a problem.

You're really reaching to make excuses.

There's hardly any story to speak of in the DOS games. No one played the game thinking the goal was escape - they played it to shoot things.
