Newest Drivers for Wolfenstein II

Hey all,

The newest Nvidia driver is recommended for improved game performance. Please be sure to update to 388.26.


Recommended Drivers:

If you have any issues launching the game after installing a new driver, we'd advise you to use a Display Driver Uninstaller to completely uninstall a driver before installing a new one. Sites like https://www.wagnardsoft.com/ can help to prevent files from being inadvertently removed (like vulkan.dll).

Random freezes here as well. Latest NVidia driver (397.64), GTX 970, Intel i7-4790K, 32 GB RAM, game is on a 256 GB m.2 SSD.

Exact same behaviour as everybody else: need to Ctrl-Alt-Del, then close the game with Task Manager.

I am rolling back to 391.35 now.

I also did have all the issues like freezing, crashinfo faults etc. etc. using a nVidia Geforce 1080 TI on Windows 10 64 bit version 1709.
Finally, this steps did resolve the problems completely in my case:

1: Uninstall all Vulkan-installations from their locations under \Program Files (x86)\VulkanRT\ by executing the Uninstaller(s) in the version-folder(s)
2: Go to https://vulkan.lunarg.com/sdk/home
3: Download the latest V1.0 Vulkan SDK for Windows: This is the file VulkanSDK-1.0.68.0-Installer.exe (Do NOT download the newer V1.1 exe)
4: Execute the exe-file
5: Run the file VulkanRT-1.0.68.0-Installer.exe from the subdir \VulkanSDK\1.0.68.0\RunTimeInstaller\
6. After installation, you can run the Vulkaninfo.exe from the \Program Files (x86)\VulkanRT\1.0.68.0\ folder to check if Vulkan starts correctly: If you see a running script in a DOS-box ending without any error message with the DOS-box remaining open you're fine: Close the DOS-box by clicking on the X in the right top corner from the DOS-box.
7. Try to play the game...

Vulkan is not the problem. Your vulkan might have been corrupt, but the game is having conflicts with both AMD and nvidia systems that are resulting in the crash dump error.

I'm having stutter in wolfenstein 2. Also, when is bethesda going to fix doom there a lot of issues such as stutter and high cpu usage.

For Me, with the new Driver : 397.93, it's OK.
GTX 970 SLI. Preset High. Sync : adaptative, but no TXAA or other things like that
(No more bugs... i've just finished the game...)

Hey guys, it’s the game that it’s causing all this problem right? Because I have a intel i5 8600k and amd rx 580. In the game I’m having stutter and some freeze. I tied the old drivers and still the same. I have reinstalled the drivers still the same. I have overclocked my cpu to 45000mhz and there still stutter. I have updated the drivers to the last version. I’m not using any kind program to limit my framerate. And the hoy usage is not stable at 99%. Gpu isage changing from 90 to 70. The gpu usage it’s variable. I have played other games but it doesn’t give this problem. Is it just the game? The only other game it’s doom where there some kind of stutter and freeze. I think with doom, it’s the update with razer chroma that it’s causing all this performance issues.

also this game uses GSYNC hence why vsync is ugh nm kids

anyone know anything about this lame STEAM CONNECTION LOST issue? its baffling.
