low vram users ultimate fix
took me a lot of effort and time to find a stable custom config for this game.leave a thanx if it work for you.this game loves vram as so much
Some things you should know if you use this:
1.this is not recommended for gpus more than 2gb of vram..though u can try if you are having problems.
2.may fix your video allocation problem and crash dumps
3.works flawlessly on 1gb vram video cards(needs 8gb system ram minimum)
4.editing this config is not recommended.this config is running on 720p medium
5.you will find less quality textures and shadows with this.(thats why i said not recommended for high vram gpu.i mean y would you care to lower settings with 300 dollars gpu)
6.lock your framerate with nvidia inspector or riva tunner for better frametime and dont use vsync to lock fps
i tested this on gtx 750 1gb and it works without any problems. now im glad i could play this game and you should too because this game is kickass

link to config (1gb vram)(updated with visuals)

link to config V2 (2gb vram)(just remove v2 from config name)(updated with visuals)

do leave a reply if it works so others may know

It really helped with the playing part. But the cutscene where you (spoiler! escape the trial and talk to your mom) afterwards when the baliff starts to move, they are back to stuttering again. It drops to 1 FPS and sometimes dosn't seem to move at all. I have changed the pool setting to 256 and it still doesn't help. Thanks for all of your time and the fixes, but it looks like I am stuck here until they figure out a fix.

btw you havent applied the v2 properly(remove v2 from file name)...it shouldn't be 80.you can try downloading again and try both.i have tweaked it with better visual with little performance hit.just a trial and error method.something with the settings may be causing that bug.goodluck
atleat you can play and i see you have advanced.dont get your hopes up for devs to fix it.they aint interested in systems below 4gb vram

I found line that says about full screen and changed from "1" to "0" and that's it. I know, it's stupid but it works anyway :D

are u using my configs or default ones?just check how the performance is on the default one.if you are having issues then use mine.these are for people having frame drops and stutter

about 30, but there are some drops even down to 1... And some tearing problems in cut scenes and with subtitles. But I think this is just matter of drivers. Which config is it?
mr.niceguy Nov 12, 2017 @ 5:29am
nah..its the game itself.4gb vram is real.anything below it will drop performance.even a rx 550 4gb will run the game with no issues compared to gtx 1060 3gb.they just didnt optimized it for anything below 4gb card

Now I see that I can't change the resolution. Maybe it's because I have to disable Intel GPU. It's locked on 1920x1080. I can't change it in game nor in Experience. I have no onther option to choose

*Sing's a song* It's got nothing to do with low Vram, just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ coding. How come these problems are evident in Doom 2016 when the min specs are 2GB cards?

Vulkan: Doom 2016 - borked text, texture problems, game not starting, crashes, strange fps - 2gb cards. When the game runs fine it's pretty fluent!

Vulkan: Wolf 2 - borked text, texture problems, game not starting, crashes, strange fps - Now we are told that we need 4gb cards min. When the game runs it's pretty fluent!

I feel like the Devs/publishers are just lying to us as the above is quite damning evidence that it's not just a low Vram problem....

i get you...but atleast this way you can play the game instead of waiting for a fix that is not happening as its amd title and things are way beyond fixing for nvidia unless you have latest gen high end cards.every system shows different bugs and issues.not possible to fix every damn issue..they shouldve sorted it out before release.everytime u complain that you have a issue with the game and say you have a 2 or 3gb vram.the devs just gonna say you dont meet min req and they cant help further.thats how its always been

None of that was aimed at you mate, peeps need to wake up and smell the coffee when a developer/publisher lies to their customer base.

My brother bought this game and he uses a 2gb 770 which is more than powerful enough to run this game @720 /med/low settings. When the game ran, which was random, it ran be beautifully for hours until he turned the computer off.

Definitly not a Vram issue as if it was it would not run, or run like ♥♥♥♥ 100% of the time. At least my brother tested the game out and I didn't buy it...
