She appears near the end of TNO as well, though her scars from the concentration camp scene are much worse then. You kill her boyfriend with her watching on the other end of a closed circuit camera.
Trust me, when you see the ♥♥♥♥ that happens in this game and what certain people survive, it makes Engel's wounds from TNO look like a twisted ankle by comparison. Don't think about it too hard, the things characters survive in this series is completely over the top ridiculous.
