Mein leben achievement. Unethical?
What do we think about this achievement? As an achievement hunter, I feel it is unfair to put this achievement in the game to block me from getting the perfect 50/50.

Further, I found a petition about this achievment: https://www.change.org/p/machine-change-the-mein-leben-trophy-in-wolfenstein-ii

What do you think about this achievement?

P.S: Would love to see a run of a no life pulling this off though

if it was impossible i would agree but according to the stats people are achieving it. Sounds like the ultimate achievement for this game with only 0.1% achievement at the minute. Book a day off and get it done.

Do you know what it is asking you to do right? It reminds me of Shadow Warrior's (2013) max difficulty (seriously, check that out). Not even worth it.

That's a way for Machine Games to troll achievement hunters. Looks like it is working as intended.

They had an achievement like this in 2016 DOOM too, didn't they? And I mean isn't the point of being an achievement hunter to put the effort into unlocking everything? If you don't feel like you can get it, just accept it and move on, or work for it. Clearly some people have done it so I wouldn't say it's unethical, it is what it is, an achievement.

and the only way I could've beaten Heroic Difficulty for "Shadow Warrior", was using a sword mod that someone had created (the link to it which has since been deleted)

Doesnt cheating defeat the object of getting the achievent though. Surely the whole point is earning it even if it is border line insane.

Considering the achievement is not impossible... and is very much possible... I don't see the issue.

It's a challenge. As it should be.

I would love to see someone do the court room battle on Mein leben...without resorting to cheap corner camping tactics etc.

well being that the courtyard fight on Chapter-16 is a big "f*ck you" with enemies attacking you from all sides (even other players complained about the same thing), I'd rather do it with some bit of help

Heroic mode for Hard Reset and Shadow Warrior (2013) had a checkpoint at the beginning of every level. Also for Max Payne 3 there's an achievement for going through the whole game without dying in one sitting (called "the shadows rushed me") but that was on normal difficulty. I achieved all those legitimately without any mods whatsoever.

This game has absolutely no checkpoints and it has to be done on the highest difficulty. If they either put the difficulty to normal ('bring it on' or lower) OR put a checkpoint at the beginning of each level, I would be able to do it :squirtyay:

same here. even the Ultra-Nightmare setting for "DOOM" gives you some bit of leeway, as completing a chapter saves your progress.

I think it's actually doable, even if it's one of the most difficult achievements ever (comparable to Witcher 2's Insane difficulty). Plenty of map knowledge required (and dos and don'ts, and trial and error, weapon knowledge), and even then some parts are just crazy hard (courtoom, final battle)... Beat the game twice on Death Incarnate, I think I'm gonna try it on Mein Leben soon. I tried TNO in perma-death mode, got till the bridge part then I fell down a hole... Still that game was waaay easier, even on Über.

You must hate your self. Just kidding. Good luck.

Thx, I love the pain ;)
