Does the pistol upgraded with the magnum and silencer attachment work well in stealth
or should I just stick to only the ssilencer?

I just use the suppressed SMG for even better results.

Is the nailgun upgrade worth it, or should I just stick to higher rate of fire

The nailgun upgrade does feel terrible for me. By the time you really need that extra bit of firepower, it most likely mean you have already break stealth stance and are engaging in a full on fire fight. This makes the armor-piercing assault rifle rounds and triple-shot auto shotgun upgrades way more worth it and have them the earlier the better.

The magnum upgrade is way overpower, you can take a mech dog with pistol akimbow with barely troubles.

Appart from the fact that you can upgrade it with silencer and one shoot kill any guard with a bullet in the head and remaing undetected. It is just too powerfull.

What difficulty though?

I went silencer on pistol, armor piercing on rifle, then scope, silencer on SMG and finally scope then overcharge on laser. Everything else seemed almost unnecessary. i'm fine with silenced pistol killing quickly, you don't get many bullets for it anyway. Didn't like the nail gun on SMG, seems to slow kill guys. Haven't even upgraded shotguns yet but I dual wield them all the time. OH upgrade the grenade launcher to rockets ASAP as well because the game doesn't give you nearly enough hand grenades sadly.

btw I'm playing on Death Incarnate, which honestly was a mistake, you can't bullrush anything without dying instantly and you can never use the heavy weapons because you're way too exposed. :(((

The mech dogs do have weak spots we can work on to bring it down fast so pistols aren't the worst thing to bring into the fight I guess. But then there are so many SMG/AR/SG ammo just lying around it wouldn't hurt spamming bullets from time to time.

Y, but i was talkin in the example of you being undercover and dont want it to blown it, that's specially used in higher difficulties where you CANT run and go all guns blazing because you're delicated as fck and can't take 4 bullets because you're dead. There, the SMG-Nailgun upgrade is way useless than the magnum-silencer upgrade because of raw damage and the nail speed. As i tell you, you can kill the guards with one clean headshot, problem with the pistol is the lack of good range, because at highers distance you will miss almost all shoots.

And with the example of the mech-dog, i wask talking of shoot him in the face, not looking for weak spots.

Headshots are technically weak spot picking also.

Anyway, we get the point.

Magnum works with silencer and does not make you more audible to enemies. In fact on highest difficulty - which I played on - it's almost required to have akimbo suppressed Magnum if you'd like to stealth-kill commandants first, since it could insta-kill fly-drones, headshot helmet soldiers and man-drones, as well as destroy robot-laser-dog with quick spam. As to ubersoldiers, sabotaging their oil tank then akimbo-nailgun in the back would deal with them faster.

You don't need to akimbow shoot'em when you sabotage their backs, just one shoot in the oil and kaboom, ded.

But yeah, that's what i wanted to say. They are way powerfull in higher difficults.

yeah I wish they had actually increased your weapon damage so that if you were accurate and played like a ninja you could actually charge, but instead I have to stealth for as long as possible ESP if there's any supersoldier types or that stupid cyclops dog thing that shows up later in the game.
