Can't use silencer, pressing C does nothing
Hi, I upgraded the Maschinenpistole with the silencer. It says press C to toggle, but when I press C, nothing happens. It won't switch to silencer. Am I doing something wrong? Help is appreciated.

The suppressor is a passive upgrade now for both weapons that can use it. The Magnum Ammo and Nailgun Ammo are the toggleable upgrades for the Pistol and SMG, respectively.

It doesn't appear to be firing silenced shots though. They're just as loud (or, at least I think they are) as it was before the silencer. Is it actually quieter? It doesn't seem so.
Try to shoot someone behind the back and see it triggers the alarm.

C for machinepostol only switches between regular ammor and the nail gun ammo, which is not that good in my opinion.

I just tried, and it did trigger the alarm.

Make sure you have the SMG upgraded in the weapons tab and are not actually using the assault rifle instead. There was a short while I was confused by the 2 gun names and surprised that the assault rifle still fired with full effect.

As for the matter of the alarm, if an enemy sees his pal being dropped he'll very likely raise the alert too.

Let me ask you: when you fire the silenced weapon does it sound silenced (the normal "pew pew" sound, like when using silencer in The New Order) or does it sound exactly the same as the regular gun firing?

The silenced SMG may not sound suppressed to you, but the enemies miraculously won't hear anything.

Thx for the help, bro. :)
(Also, this game on PC is so buggy I can't tell what's a bug and what's not lol, I guess we have to wait for the patch.)

Silenced pistol works alot better for stealth approach. Its more accurate and does more damage than smg. Enemies sometimes wont die from first headshot, so if you seeing them with armour duel wield.

The much higher fire rate of the SMG makes up the difference easily, and you usually dual-wield that ♥♥♥♥. The enemies still won't know any better.

That's yer problem right thar. You won't "see" the effect of the silencer. It's about hearing.

Ha ha. I don't hear it either. Sounds the same, at least as far as I can tell. And the enemies seem to hear it as well.

So far you're the only one who seem to have this problem.

Go into the weapon upgrades section, then go to the Maschinenpistole upgrades. If the little box next to the silencer mod isn't filled in, click on it. If the box is filled in, then the silencer should be on. Then of course, if you want the silencer off, uncheck the box and that will remove the silencer.

There is very little sound difference between silenced and unsilenced. It's probably working, just not all that different.
