The Story is Terrible

Im really disappointed with this, The New Order was almost masterful with its pacing and character development. Compared to The New Order, The New Colossus’ story feels like an absolute joke. So many of the cutscenes had me saying, “What?” or “Why?”. And it tries to do comedy and it comes off as really juvenile. I see reviews raving the story and other than a select couple of moments I just dont get it.

games story substance really is basic, but the characters are what carries it, and the liens of diolog. If you dont enjoy that enough then yeh i can understand. Its very much like a quintan tarenteno type vibe with the cutt scenes, all diolog and ott characters but very basic story.

I was gonna say yea, not everyone likes Tarenteno Films this game is basicly that. I cant stand Overwatch and games like it or PUBG, everyone has different taste. I happen to enjoy the story quite a bit, my friend was watching me play and he dosent game at all yet he liked it enough to suggest they make a movie. Its not Terrible, there is drama, comedy, horror, action, and interesting charecters all elements of a great story.

I don't know about the TNO being masterful with its story (I say this as someone who loved TNO), I felt it shares a lot of the same problems that TNC does, only TNC is much worse. Pacing is much faster, too fast, BJ's backstory feels forced in, and the characters (excluding BJ) have become even more one note than in the previous game. I do agree with the humor of the game has become juvenile. TNO also had quite a bit of humor, but it was much more dry and clever whereas TNC feels just plain silly and cringy at times.

You mean like the sub you are in being twice the size you "thought" it was, and housing an entire army that has been secretly living with you for 5 months? Or maybe the woman you met 4 minutes ago just walks on to the sub and is the instant captain of the ship?
