How do I get off the Panzerhund?

I'm at the end of New Orleans and have been running around on the Panzerhund for around 20 minutes trying to find out where to go.

Eventually I got bored and looked up a walkthrough because I thought I was being dumb but as it hapens I am not, the walkthrough says you're supposed to dismount the panzerhund and go through a Nazi HQ building (which s actually what I was thinkind due to there being a commander inside that building that you cannot kill with the panzerhund) however I cannot get off the damn thing.

I'm playing on M&K though I do play with my keys rebinded (I know using the arrows is dumb but its how my older brother taught me to play from being a child and I cannot do WASD at all) and I have tried EVERY SINGLE KEY on my keyboard plus I have plugged in my Xbox 360 Pad and tried every key on the pad too.

I cannot get off the thing to continue on with the mission.

I hope I am being dumb and its not a bug.

Press it or hold it because I have pressed crouch many times.
