Forced Driver Update
The newer drivers for my card give me blue screens. I had no issues. Why isn't this optional? I can't play this game now.

You can roll back your driver, If you dont have the old one saved, go to the stie and download the old one again. You might want to uninstall the newer one before you put the old one back on.

I'm rolling back my driver presently. The game won't launch on older drivers since the new update to wolf, however, meaning it's impossible for me to play the game. For some reason the developers have decided an up-to-date driver is mandatory.

Happens sometimes. If you use Nvidia Experience utility just be sure not to accidentally install the new on again, it will probably ask you to install it again.

WHen this crap happens I usually download the two drivers into a folder on my pc so that I dont have to keep downloading them again from the site. Faster.

Yeah crazy. I had ZERO problems with the 385.41 driver. Why the forced update. I'm an advanced user. I know the risks. How do we disable this driver check.

The same problem

I'm not updating the driver. I have other games that like that driver. I guess my campaign ends

Yep, same problem. All the drivers that the game will "allow" cause a blue screen for me. Seriously unbelievable. Considering refunding since i have exactly 2 hours played.

I have played 9 hours and this crap comes out

I always clean install on up or downgrades, using guru3D's driver tool to downgrade, so it's not a driver conflict. It's a problem I've had on other driver version's with AMD's god awful wattman. I was on a stable driver that everything worked fine on, until the game told me I had no choice. That's the cost of optimism :)

If something can go wrong, eventually it will.

Completely unnecessary by Machine Games. Makes me feel like they don't undertand PC gaming at all.

This game was a dream to play until now. Now there is constant texture pop-in and awful stuttering.

I know others had issues that they were trying to rectify, but this wasn't the way to go. I'm tempted to just drop the game now.

For now I can't play it even if I wanted to! It was just getting interesting too. Taking choice out of the equasion is not the right way to go.

panicking. They got the Tiki torch guys mad at them. Now they got their fans mad. On a roll!

same here for me the neew amd driver drops my performance by 70 percent i was using 17.6.2worked really well for this game now i too cant play it without using the crappy new amd driver wth

Yeah I have the same issue. Game worked perfectly. Except for crashes when the player dies. It was a 50:50 chance of a crash. But the game ran smoothly except for that. Now I cant even get in the game. Not with the old driver, nor with the new one. The blue Quake-Console shows and tells me to update the driver. Ughn....
