Open the map instead of the tutorial by default?

Each time I open the journal with "J". It goes to the tutorial ALL the time.

Is there a way to lock it to open to map directly instead?

I had the exact same problem when I first started it. It's strange, a minor glitch but for me, as someone who plays it stealthy, explores and collects, it's was beyond frustrating. I did a complete restart and haven't had it happen a second time around. Sadly, that's all I know so far as a fix.

Have you tried the new beta patch? Maybe it fix it...

Not yet but like I said, it's fine now. My theory is it was due to me dying while the game was trying to tell me a tutorial prompt.

I haven't died in the game yet, on my side it might be due to having crashed so often, reduced graphics settings to uber fixed the crash. But still get the weird bug.

I restarted my game, will do manual save more often in case I get this bug again so I can load from a previous save that doesn't have the issue.

It came back up then I immediately reloaded a save before the issue and it's present in earlier saves too... so it's something else.

I have this same bug all of the sudden. I press J and it defaults to the Weapons' customization screen instead of the map.

Ya because bethesda are well known for fixing bugs. Just look at skyrim a 5+year old game absolutely zero bugs.
