The Enigma Code Machine - Unsure how to use it.

So after beating the campaign, i went on the Enigma Machine and attempted to solve the puzzles it gives. I read the Tutorial, and tried it, and it highlights a portion of the pattern that you have to recreate. After recreating the pattern, the puzzle did not continue. It simply remained still and made me lose a code.
I watched videos on it and supposedly the top moves if you complete the portion highlighted, but when i complete the highlighted portion, nothing moves. What do i do?

I would really like to know what the secret message is you get by using the decoder. Maybe it might shed some light on the whole left wing propaganda debate. Maybe someone could post it using the spoiler feature so it is blacked out. BTW, how do you do that? i dont know how.

<BUMP> I just ran into this problem - how do you get the enigma machine to move to the next cypher? I've matched the first one, and nothing happens other than the timer runs out. Is there an "input" key I should press once I match the first symbols? The tutorial says nothing about how it's supposed to advance once you match the symbol halves...

Keep matching the halves until you reach the end of the code thread. A map should pop up with a figure of the commander. You can then "Escape" and go to the war map and go to his location or move on to the next code thread and match the upper and lower halves to the end of the code thread. Hope this helps. I tried several times before I got the hang of it.

It's a terrible tutorial at best. I had to watch a couple youtube videos to figure out what to do. W and S move you between the top and bottom row of codes, while A and D will move the corresponding rows of symbols. You match the top and bottom to create the overall symbol, then hit Enter or Return on your keyboard. Now that I have the hang of it, it's really easy. I use the extra time between each symbol to figure out how many moves I need on each top and bottom row for the next one.

Thanks - I was unsure if there was a need to "Enter" anything to advance the cypher, and wasn't willing to sit there and lose my enigma codes figuring things out. Will give it another go!

Its a shame that some people dont recognize nazism as the evil itself. Too many ignorants are born after the year 2000.

Its a shame that some people dont recognize nazism as the evil itself. Too many ignorants are born after the year 2000.

That time period had a lot of evil it seems. Imperial Japan was just as bad. The world is better of today in many regards.
