Update 10/30: Patch Now Live (Steam Overlay, Async Compute, JP Fixes)

Hey all,

The team is pushing through a hotfix patch to the beta branch of Steam for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. This includes the following fixes:

Patch notes:

- Resolved an issue affecting the deployment of full game files in Japan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia

- Re-enabled Async compute for AMD users (requires AMD driver version 17.10.3, linked below)

- Temporarily disabled Async compute on 1080ti until driver fix is in

- Re-enabled Steam Overlay

In order to install a patch on the Steam public beta branch, right click the game in your Steam library. Go to properties, then the "Betas" tab. In the dropdown, choose public beta as your branch.

Just done collecting all "collectible" things and there is some issue with achievements. For some reason i do not have enough gold and concepts although I collected everything. And did not receive two achievements. Proof on pictures

You're the first person I've ever seen say that Doom worked well with SLI.

because most SLI users used a 16 lanes CPUs.

can't even use the map onboared the sub as it crashe the game ive even played around with the settings but nothing still crashes its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pathetic i can play the game as you need the map to go places

Can't seem to launch the game since the update. Tried reinstalling it too and still no joy. The game asks if I wwant to launch in safe mode or normal mode and then says Running in Steam then goes to Syncing and then nothing happens. Anyone else get this problem? Anyone know how to fix it?

maybe you can solve the problem that the game does not start under Windows10 on the Mac 5K (a known problem for Mac owners with AMD graphics cards), since it is not possible to update the drivers with AMD for us :(

Are you sure about the driver rollback thing?
I'm using Nvidia's 385.69 driver right now and still getting this bug. I don't think it matters which driver you are using. This bug was introduced by the last patch so only a new one should fix the issue.

I'm using Nvidia's 385.69 driver right now and still getting this bug. I don't think it matters which driver you are using. This bug was introduced by the last patch so only a new one should fix the issue.

What windows version you using? If you have the most updated release of Windows 10 YOU WILL NEED THE LATEST Nvidia drivers, 388.13

The crash dump error seems to occur if your display drivers are not up to date. Go to the official source of the company which produced your GPU (Nvidia, AMD etc.) and download the latest display driver for your card there. I do not recommend performing this process with third-party software, as it may not give you THE most recent drivers. For example, I tried with Driver Booster the first time around, but apparently the driver I downloaded was not 100% the latest version and so it didn't fix the problem. I went to Nvidia's site, found my card generation there, got the driver and bam, problem solved.

If you're unsure exactly what hardware specs you have, I recommend using CPU-Z to see it all in detail and make sure you get the drivers for the appropriate card.

I got the latest nvidia driver as of now and I get the crash dump error as soon as I bring the steam overlay.

Try creating a custom res 2880x1620p in the Nvidia control panel, create a desktop short cut for the Wolfestein.exe. Right click it and check dpi override and hit apply. Run the game and enable the 2880x1620. It’s the closest to 4K for now with no screen tearing and proper res format
