I was drunk when I started the game, so I did not do particularly well. I've stuck with it (haven't played all that much yet though...)
Enemies don't seem spongy, but they do pack a wallop. For a more "fun" playthough, I'd drop it down a notch to be perfectly honest.
I went down to terror-billy difficulty and everything is ok now, it feels so much easier though, somehow maybe they didn't really get the difficulties right, don't know what to say.
That's why it sais "for the fearless gamer", bro lol
I'm playing on the highest one available, and let me tell you...its BRUTAL, bro. Good fun.
Great game, man.
Depends what you are looking for and your skill level.. If you want to feel like a badass then don't play on this level. You have to pick spots and use cover and strategize on health and armor pick ups. It's was rough at first but I got use to it. There are also quick saves for really rough spots. You still take a fair bit of damage before death.
