My game autosaved right before I died and now I can't continue my game

I'm playing on "I am Death Incarnate" and I just so happened to hit a checkpoint right as I got killed, no biggie, so I loaded a save from before I died and continued onward. As you might have guessed, I got killed again, and the game autosaved right as I died. Now both of my saves are right as I'm dying and I can't continue forward. I just lost almost 6 hours of gameplay and I'm pretty sad.

Is there any way to get back to an older checkpoint, or am I just screwed and do I have to start a new campaign?

I believe if you were to die enough it allows you to choose another save. But you should manual save every time you complete a hard battle and save it in an alternate slot.

What should I do if I only have the two autosaves lol
I had absolutely no idea you could manually save this game, but I guess that's good to know since it looks like I'll be replaying the first 6 hours again

I can't really help from here, this might be something you have to experiment with on your own, just know now that you can save manually it's really helpful.

I had this happen to me earlier, I tried moving back and avoided the blast with barely any hp left, found some health and manually saved. better than a damn loop
