NVIDIA users with freezes, try this
Try disabling Asynchronous Compute in the Advanced Settings menu under Video, then go and "Apply Changes" and restart the game.

I am using a GTX 1080 on the latest driver (388.10) and by doing this have gone from being unable to progress past the first minute of cut scene to no freezes at all.

EDIT: Added helpful quote from another user.

I found the option in a configuration file though, you can change it there I assume.

Find r_enableAsyncCompute "1"

Change to r_enableAsyncCompute "0"
Save. Exit. Try it out and see if you crash again.

Works like a charm. No freezes or crashes, good on you.

I don't see the option at all.

Doesn't work for me, 1070GTX owner. I've tried every fix possible, nothing is working. Should've spent more money on PC development rather than the marketing.

I believe I've got the same problem as the other poster and nothing resembling Async appears for me at all.

freezes here to. Don't have the option refered to. Have tried everything and have turned off everything, still freezes. GTX690 here. Have disabled one of the GPU's for it, still no luck.

Madness.

This works in some cases, not all, but some it helped me a while back and I've been trying to spread it around.

Downloading the latest Nvidia driver hotfix solves the issue, no need for this.

I'm downloading new Nvidia's drivers. Game hasn't even started so far (GTX1070).

If you are referring to version 388.10 did not fix the issue for me with my GPU, it was the first thing I tried.
