If that doesn't solve it, there should be a install executable in the driver package. (Not sure if that works if you're using geforce experience or whatever to update the driver, just download it from the nvidia page like you would back in.. I don't know.. 2010! Barbarian!)
The Vulkan install executable should be in C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\388.10\Win10_64\International\Display.Driver
Called "VulkanRT-Installer"
..Granted, if that's where you extracted the driver package, but that should be default. (388.10 being the driver version, exchange it for whatever you download I guess.)
