Game Freezes :(

Really bummed that I can't seem to be able to play this game now, it seems to freeze at random points.

Guess I will have to wait and see if there is a fix for this.

My computer:
GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
16 GB Ram

I just disabled the Async Compute setting and my game is playable. It would freeze in menu and in game. I would have to use task manager to close the game. I have all the latest drivers as well.

cpu: i5-7600k
gpu: asus gtx1060

Async computin doesn't show in the game advanced setting neither in the config file.If I add the Async Compute line in the config file it does not fix my constant freezing problem.I have 388.10 nvidia driver GTX 960, I tried with older drivers, the same problem.

if you have an nvidia card getting 388.10 fixed this issue. its in beta and will come out early this week

i got the AMD 480 it use to freeze for me before patch now it just crashes

GeForce Experience is causing the game to freeze. Make sure you have that uninstalled. Game runs perfectly then.

Uninstalled, but still can't progress, still freezing all the time...

I read this thread and tried some of it. The following seems to have solved the problem of freezing cutscenes (like exiting Section F) for me.

*) Checked and restored the game files (there was something to restore, don't know if it was related).
*) Turned VSync off in game (was on adaptive, On made it even worse)
*) Turned VSync on in the NVidia Inspector for Wolfenstein 2 (can't bear the tear) - but this is of course is not really part of the fix anymore, but it didn't restore the problem either.

So bottom line, for me it was the in-game VSync. Driver 388.43, Asus GeForce 1080 Advanced. Wolfenstein 2 version as of today.

I also same freeze game this.. I tried download Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus for Demo got freeze.. But DOOM also freeze that's day.. I think graphic not work from BETHESDA it.. And, i download game The Evil Within 2 to cannot optimize from GeForce Experience it.. I know that BETHESDA not good for any game it..

There is a bug in the Nvidia drivers which causes freezes at random points in this game according to the release notes. They are working on fixing it.

Yeah well when I'm entering the game, in the main menu i want to click "Continue" and before I do that the game freezes. Not good, at all. :\

Played the game for probably 6 hours with no problem and now, all of a sudden, the game is constantly freezing on my 1080ti. What the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?! So frustrating.
