The reason the prices are jacked up is to combat some of the currency conversion games grey market key sites exploit.
As long as people in the first world are willing to buy extralegal keys to save a couple bucks, it will impact the prices on the countries that those grey market keys are typically bought.

The problem is Denuvo gets cracked in a day now too, so it's a complete waste of money, glad Bethesda woke up by not using it, unlike WB with Shadow of War.
As can be seen with games like The Witcher 3, Stardew Valley, a DRM is not even needed to still have good sales, just make a good game and listen to the community and you will be respected.
