id Tech 5 had potential, sort of. It's just that the Megatextures looked like oily, zit-ridden arse, and the framerate wouldn't go higher than 60 during gameplay and 30 during cutscenes, and that it was just overall poorly optimized.. You know what, the engine actually was ♥♥♥♥♥♥ from the start.
