For some reason the resolution of the game seemed extremely low, even with it apparenly being my native resolution. With my 27 inch screen I couldn't even read what the text said ingame. The settings did not seem to even have an option for windowed mode. I was thinking maybe the problem was that the game is not meant for 2560x1440 res, but I couldn't turn it down either?
