Poor John Smith. His only crime was to become MY patient. I did try to listen to all his symptoms with sincerity (I really did) but as his condition worsened, I began to panic as I promptly forgot all the simple things I'd just learned during my medical tutorial and realised I'd not saved up enough points for further diagnosis. Never mind diagnosing then, just click a treatment - ANY treatment I can afford...

Poor John Smith. Luckily, I could afford one treatment: an intensive stress management course! Unluckily, he died of Parkinson's, Angina and Hypertension, none of which benefitted from my inspired choice of cure. Still, I have learnt from the demise of poor John Smith. Yes, I have learnt my lesson. I will promptly fire the tutor of that excellent stress management course...

Now, if YOU think John Smith didn't deserve such good treatment (or if you think you could do better - tip: you can't - my stress course should have been an ideal solution for Parkinson's and Angina...), then this game will give you that opportunity. Bio Inc Redemption is an enhanced version of the mobile Bio Inc game - a game that shares similarities with the equally excellent Pandemic and Plague Inc games. Bio Inc Redemption is a game that mixes up time management and puzzle solving with some RPG-like upgrade elements. You can choose to play from two campaigns: to cure or kill your patient based on his evolving symptoms and the complete toolset of every diagnostic process available. Collect points to spend diagnosing and curing (or alternatively developing the symptoms of your chosen illness), or to invest in various upgrades to make those processes quicker and cheaper. It's then a race against time as you battle to spare or end your patient's life. The game creates a real sense of urgency, but in a fun way. It's not pretending to be medically accurate (though it doesn't do a bad job at all), and the game is a lightweight and fun challenge despite its subject matter. I found it equally as good as Plague Inc, but sufficiently different that I'll continue to find both games enjoyable.

NOTE: the game is currently in Early Access form and could therefore change, but it is already a polished experience that feels finished. Highly recommended!

A bit expensive, but otherwise pretty decent modification of the Plague Inc. formula. The addition of the diagnosis side of things makes for an interesting twist, trying to match up symptoms with diseases to do just the right number of tests.

Also impressed with the patient's ability to have unprotected sex while in the ER with heart failure.

Paramedic here, I'm a huge fan of this game. I'm going to speak from the medical accuracy side of things since other people are better at talking game mechanics. I find that the disease processes are laid out in a realistic and medically accurate way compared to many other games. The diagnosis/treament process on the the Life side works well to challenge a medical professional's suspicion but is also intuitive enough for a non-medical player to understand and work with. The diseases are also tied together so that a single disease can affect several systems just as it would in real life. My only quarrel with the Life side is that some diseases have similar or identical treatment plans but you have to treat each one individually. It occurs to me that they do this so that diseases which you have not yet diagnosed are not being treated but that's just a little nitpick anyway. The Death side holds true to real life as well in that I find it easier than the Life side. Stacking a patient up with extreme predispositions and then crashing their systems is oddly satisfying especially when seen from the perspective of the disease.

Overall I give the game full points on its attention to detail and commitment to maintaining good medical accuracy. I would love to see updates with more disease processes or even a mode for more medically inclined people that dives into more complex disease trees and treatment plans that stretches over a slightly more chronic play style.

I've bought this game when I've heard that there's a PlagueInc-like game out there somewhere in early access. I've played through it for quite a while now and beat every level on maximum dufficulty. It can be a lot of fun for a player who seeks for a slow, but challenging puzzle/strategy gameplay.

>Progression and player perks. Helpful for either making some of game's aspects easier or building around a specific playstyle to make the best out of it.

>Difficulty levels, variating from a cakewalk to make-no-mistake-or-lose.

>Many different playstyles are absolutely viable on the highest difficulty.

>Not for those of you who doesn't like this type of games, obviously, duh.

>Still in early access. Expect getting stuck in loading screen or losing FPS quite frequently.

>Player perks are unbalanced. There are no obviously overpowered perks, but plenty of useless ones.

>Resource collecting done wrong. The mini-game is OK, but balancing is not. You can barely see resources over "muscle" system. And who the hell levels up resource gathering anyway?!

>Asymptomatic stage. Seriously, guys, ♥♥♥♥ that challenge! Absolutely unbeatable in some builds, absolutely boring guessing game in others.

>There is no way to see the exact damage on any system if you have lifestyles that affect this system. Which makes asymptomatic stage suck even more, and overall guessing in LIFE campaign gets harder.

>Diseases don't make any sense. You don't just cure (or inflict) one or two lethal ones - your guy is the unluckiest mofo around and he usually has half of entire available disease roster in his body, including numerous lethal ones.

>Lifestyles don't make any sense either. Not only they can be a legit way to win without even curing anything (which is funny and I like using it, but still), but they also can be mutually exclusive and still work. Ten non-smoking smokers out of ten, developers, ten out of ten.

>Campaigns are very short, no scenarios. I hope more will be added later.

In conclusion, the developers have a lot to work on till the game makes it out of Steam early access. But even now, I can recommend anyone who likes this type of games to play through both campaigns, especially if you are into games like Plague Inc and alike.

Bio Inc. Redemption, developed and published by DryGin Studios deliver with their title a simulation from the medical sector. Diagnostic results are: Parasitic data theft and user monitoring.

As the product is based on the Unity Engine, user-data is of course send to Unity without the user's knowledge. Unity is using Google Compute Engine (short GCE) as backend for their services. Since DryGin Studios wants to be on the safe side, there is also Google Analytics and an in-house service for free.

This happens in two ways

1. with default activated Event-Telemetry
   
2. with so called crashlytics and Cloudreports

Next to telemetry initialization, users hard- and software data the actual event telemetry takes place via callbacks. Sending constantly updated data with timestamp on player whereabouts

So called crashlytics helping to collect analytics and details about crashes and errors. In the case of Unity, they only collect. Responsible for this are in the installation directory the "UnityCrashHandler32.exe" or "UnityCrashHandler64.exe"

Should you find files with this name in your folders? Delete them without hesitation.

There are few differences that need to be considered. because depending on the product and implementation, there are different triggers.

1. Crashlytics become active only in the event of a crash and send data to Unity
   
2. Crashlytics are automatically initialized directly at the start of the game
   
   However, both ways do not inform the user
   
   
3. Unity does not care about exe files and Crashhandler and gets your data anyways.

How?
The crashlytics is also responsible for the Cloud Reports. Well, it's the same. Should your game crash, data is send to a perf-events.cloud.unity3d.com without consent. No active CrashHandler? Bad luck for users.

Active Cloud-Reports send extended telemetry data to Unity and can be active besides the actual event telemetry.

There doesn't even have to be a crash to send data. However, "crash reports/handler" always sound nicer to users.

Does user registration with UserID, Version, Culture (Geodata), NickName (Your Steamname), Playerlevel, followed by a heartbeat function (or a "medical" simulation a rather self-irony term) and matchmaking for multiplayer can be found here as well. No multiplayer? Bad luck, your data is taken anyways.

Google Analytics is working together with Unity and its job is to track users on each screen they open.

An example from my new gamesession. Opened game, clicked on Multiplayerscreen, went back, initialized a new game (of course i was the good guy), Tutorial started, some infos plopped up and so on.

At the end my medical internship was so underpaid that my patient died... and my glorious career as a bone doctor ended as quickly as it had begun.

So far it's really fun, but I personally feel the price is unreasonable with how much it currently offers. I believe it needs more variety and tuning to really make it shine.

Vaccinate your kids.

If you like Plague Inc. then you should try this one. It focuses on a single person instead of the whole planet but it's no less interesting.

You can play both as the disease (death) and the doctor team, there are campaigns for either side where missions have slightly different conditions. There is also a sandbox mode where the player can set up their own scenario. I saw a multiplayer button as well but haven't tried that out yet.

P.S. It's also the only game where a person can have unprotected sex while being in emergency with a heart attack and their muscular system total failure :)
