Interesting find since new Derek patch

Not sure if this is a bug or intended. But when doing the art piece quest for Madison, Derek takes keys from your inventory. Once he has the keys, you can't lock the door with Madison if you decide to choose her over Derek. As a work around, I tried starting from the beginning and not picking up the keys and doing the same quest. He still takes the keys even if you don't have them and when you go downstairs where the keys are before you pick them up, they are not there. I am not sure how to get the keys from Derek after he takes them, but it seems there is no way to prevent him from taking them (besides not doing the quest at all).

Not a bug, moving out of Bug Reports. There is a hint given as Derek walks away from the bathroom door regarding the keys, and there are only so many places he goes between blocking the door and getting off the roof.
