super laggy cant even move in the right direction
I've had the game for probably a year and this problem has been the same since and I didn't know how to fix it so I gave up on playing, but I thought posting on here would help! Even the new loading screen with the characters dancing, they look very slow and laggy and as soon as i start up the game the loading screen is very slow, I turn it on the slowest resolution and lowest graphics but no help. In the front of the house I cannot control the direction i move in because it is so lagged and the camera doesn't even focus in one area. Other steam games run fine, exept GTA 4 was having loading issues with the map and Saints Row 2 camera runs super fast and is hard to control. So it could be something wiht my computer but not sure. I have plenty of space and am running Dell Inspiron 620 Intel Core i5-2320 3.00GHz with 8GB RAM. I do not know much about computers so i do not know if this is ok to be running House Party? I play Sims 4 frequently and it runs completely fine? If anyone knows anything please lmk what I can do/ or if anyone has similar issue. Thanks! :)

Hi there, so let's start with one more basic item: what kind of GPU/graphics card are you using?

If you adjust the graphics settings (lower the setting in the drop down menu, uncheck all the options) you should see some improvement in FPS. You're saying you see absolutely no change either in-game or on the main menu?

Hi, I adjusted them all and unclicked them all and still no change. For dispaly adapter it says I have Intel(R) HD Graphics I just updated it from something like Intel Family Graphics? I ran the game and still no improvement

Alright that's not optimal; one of my test systems also uses an Intel HD Graphics and it also runs pretty slow. Is that your only GPU installed in that system? Do you have two sets of display plugs/outputs on the back of your PC?

I would try closing down as many applications as you can, and then also ensuring that your PC's power scheme settings are set for High Performance, including any performance and power settings in your Intel HD Control Panel (right click on your desktop for this).

Edit: also scroll down and check section T5 of this document, there are a lot of little tips that may help you: https://steamcommunity.com/app/611790/discussions/1/1458455461474913334/
