In this quest, found the brief case, opened it through Frank, and at that point took Rachel's side by giving Patrick the thermos w deadly mix. After discussion with both Patrick and Rachel, they both are now in the back yard in the corner. Rachel is prompted to say "focus..." while no interactions are possible Patrick who lies posing on the ground fully clothed. So when interacting with the briefcase AI- cannot destroy site wout master ring held by Patrick. Trued talking with other house guest to trigger next stage w Patrick but nothing happening as he is stuck posing on ground fully clothed. What am I missing here?

Alternatively, did go back to a previous save before finding the briefcase, then gave the thermos to Patrick which started the dialogue with Rachel. When I took the briefcase they disappeared for a bit and wound up eventually in same poses and dialogue in master bedroom closet. After opening the case, finished the quest. Not sure if timing of events caused the problem above

Hi there, do you have a save file, debug log, or any additional info on what else was doing on in-game the first time you encountered this that could help reproduce the issue?

And what version of the game was this in? Was this in the Original Story?

Hello it was played in Original Story. I had completed several quests leading to this issue. Finished the Ashley quests, Vickie quests, Amy quests, Stephanie quests. When I gave the thermos to Patrick by the fire, it started the Rachel dialogue of not all the work is done. I had already found the suitcase and opened it and it was noted by her as staying ahead of the game. Her and Patrick both walked to the backyard corner and Patrick posed on the ground, fully clothed while Rachel said to focus. Interestingly, I started a new story, this time, I did waited to find and open the suitcase until after I gave the thermos to Patrick, and they both ended up in the master closet, this time Patrick posing nude- and finished the Rachel quests. The major differences were I waited to find and open the suitcase until after giving Patrick the thermos. Not sure if this sequence causes the problem or not.

I recently did this quest as the OP did the first time (finding the case first,) and Pat ends up passed out, fully clothed on the ground near the outdoor seating area.
I ended up "going Number 1" on him [because I thought it was funny,] but this continues the quest with different options to upload the pics and tamper with the briefcase etc., as normal.
Maybe there's a dialogue from Rachel that's not triggering to hint that you should pee on him in this path?

There is no requirement to pee on Patrick for this content, so something else is going on.

I have completed this quest, but waited to find and open the suitcase until after I gave the thermos to Patrick and spoke with Rachel. My opinion is that its caused by finding the case and opening it prior to giving the thermos to Patrick.

This bug just happened to me (and ruined walkthrough). Original story, v.0.19.4.
And yes, I also found and opened (with Frank's help) suitcase before giving thermos to Patrick.
I'm also completed 'I Know Grump-Fu' if it's worth to mention...

Hope devs will check this quest again.

I'll look into it when I can, but as always a Debug Log of this occurring would be extremely helpful.
