Issues with the Custom Story Browser or Custom Story Uploader Page?

Hello everyone, if you have been having any difficulties with the recently launched Custom Story Browser (CSB, the in-game UI that appears after you click "CUSTOM STORIES") or the Custom Story Uploader (CSU, https://csu.eekllc.com/), please let us know here.

Please note that the CSU/CSB login is NOT the same as your Steam login, nor is it the same as your Eek! Forums login. Each of these are completely separate.

For those having password difficulties, make sure your password is at least 10 alphanumeric characters in length, uses at least one uppercase and lowercase letter, and has at least one symbol that is NOT the plus (+) or ampersand (&) symbols. Then make sure you confirm the e-mail we send to you, and try logging in again.

Additionally, if you are experiencing login errors even after doing the above, try changing your Windows region/date-time format to use the Gregorian calendar (mm/dd/yyyy or dd/mm/yyyy). We're working on fixing that...whoops.

Do not post questions about specific custom stories here. Any posts here not related to the CSB or CSU tools will be deleted without warning and without follow-up.

For your protection, do not post user names or e-mails here. Myself or one of our staff (ZUEEKJon, EekJon, Alex/EekAlex, or Bobby) will reach out for more information. DO NOT, EVER, PROVIDE YOUR PASSWORD. The most we will need to know is: what kind of symbols did you use, how many letters or numbers, and did you use upper/lower case.

I tried to log in to the Custom Story Browser in game with my existing EEK login information, and it gives me an error message. I also changed my password on EEK to include a symbol (which it didn't have before) but that did not resolve the issue either. I can log in to the EEK forums in a browser.

It uses a separate login. For this site, create a new login and make sure the password follows the rules above.

Well did everything, validated account, unable to login, reset password, unable to login anyway, what a weird system...

Edit : got it, I used a "+" in my password... weird system though, so much security for downloading public stuff (files are availables on the Eek fourm..) ??

They are available on the forum, yes, but for simply downloading and installing stories, we find this to be more convenient. We don't mess around with security. Besides, it's good to have a strong framework in place in case we decide to expand on the functionality of this tool.

I can't seem to register a new account through the game no matter what I try for my password. I use a password manager, so I was creating very random passwords, and I tried making it as simple as possible with only a capital and non-capital letter, a digit, and a single special character. but no matter what special character I try I get the message about "cool it with the fancy characters" or however it's phrased. Tried @, !, $, and a few others and it always gives me that error.

To follow up on my previous post, that was my experience last night. Today I tried it and I was able to register for an account just fine. No idea what was going on.
