derek and madison

I am following the walkthrough and am at the sibling rivilry part and after I talk to Derek he just stands there when he should go outside and talk to Madison. Any help?

What specifically did you and Derek talk about? Did Madison walk to/reach the outside Gazebo? What's going on in the game when this issue occurs?

its as soon as I think the subgame Runner Runner begins....he says hes going to go find Madison outside, and then just stands exactly where he is. The walkthrough says he should go outside and talk to Madison and you should be nearby. But he ain't moving.
