No Characters Load

I tried reinstalling the game, verifying the integrity of the game's files and deleting appdata files. Nothing works.

Whenever I start a new game I'm introduced to a completely empty house with no music and no characters around. Slightly spooked but not the point.

I've tried console commands to see if I can warp the characters to me or I warp myself to where ever the characters are. No luck. The character entities appear to be not present.

I've also tried summoning Lety using the laptop but that didn't help either.

I think I've encountered a major issue. But I can't really do much on my end.

Did you see any red error text on the main/title screen?

Then, make sure the game is closed and go into Steam, and right-clicking on House Party. Click Properties. Click Betas. Click an older version like 0.13.3. Let the game "roll back".

Once "updated", go BACK into Properties -> Betas and click NONE. Let the game update.

Run the game. Once you hit the main menu, select a different story from the dropdown first like Date Night With Brittney, THEN select the Original Story again, and hit Start New Game.
