[Spoilers] Question About Doja Cat's Ending

Okay, so I've finished the Doja Cat story and, as far as I can tell, I did everything right with her concert. She told me twice that a "straight up killed it tonight", once after the concert playback, and then again when she's standing at the secret hole in the fence, getting ready to leave.

But then her very last words to me were like really disappointing. Something like: "I know you tried your best, but if you applied yourself more, you could really be something... I sound like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ guidance councillor now."

I remember this was the same farewell she gave me when I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the concert by allowing Patrick to film it drunk (that was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hilarious cutscene, btw!) So it feels like I still somehow ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the concert up, although I can't see how.

Does she give you that goodbye no matter how well you do the concert, or is there something you can do to make her be nicer to you at the end?

You just need to get her meters high enough. If they aren't, you will not get the "good" ending even if you successfully complete her show.

For one, do NOT get Madison to allow Amala's entry by telling her who she is. That will lower Amala's heart meter. Get Madison's stats to the point where she will trust you vouching for Amala, you can do that by doing Madison's Smooth Operator quest.

Also, give Amala two (and only two) beers. That will raise her meters. Only give her additional beers if you are doing her "drunk and disorderly" quest.
