For example, let's say you called your Character Design "My Custom Outfit " and you applied that name to outfits for the NPC's Amy, Katherine and Vickie .
Now lets say you called your Group Preset "My Group Items 01 ". You have to edit your Group Items so that My Custom Outfit shows as a selection for the NPC you created the outfit for. You can do this for all the NPC in the game that you created outfits for and then select save and now all your players will have their custom outfits on.
You can name each Character Design a new name or use the same Design name for all the NPC's.
EXAMPLE:
Lets say I wanted to create a themed set of outfits where everyone is wearing pink. I could create a Group Preset called "Hot Pink".
Then when I create an outfit for Amy I name the Character Design"Hot Pink" and when I create another outfit for Katherine I name that Character Design "Hot Pink".
When I edit the Group Preset I make sure that the NPC has the selection "Hot Pink" not "Default" and then save the Group Preset.
