What happened to the New Content Pack?

We were promised in the initial news post that, "[...]we plan to release the House Party – New Content Pack, featuring two new characters from the House Party Universe!" When you click on the link in the news page, it turns into House Party - Business and Pleasure Style Pack. While I don't mind customization option, I wonder what happened that made them pivot from the initial response of 2 new characters into customization options.

There was also new story content announced initially, I guess that won't happen anymore.

Maybe they didn't get the rights for another "celebrity" guest.

@Eek: there is no need for that, you created great original characters in the base game already. Why not just do that?

What really gets me mad about there not being any new characters is that they made us wait a year for something that was a total let down. I get so sick and tired about companies hyping up a game to get me eager for me to buy a game only for me to find that the game is not even available yet. Why do they do that practice? Why can't they let us know when something is available instead of stringing us along?

I learned over the years" f*ck the hype". Especially in gaming.

They announced several times and also answered questions posted about this. They said recently they may have news about more story content and maybe new characters soon, for the people concerned. It sounds to me like things just got re-prioritized. I think we are still going to get more content down the line though.

At least they're giving us free new clothes. If they made us pay for the new business/pleasure, it would be the biggest insult as it should be making up for those bait & switch tactics. I don't think eek is that low, but we shall see.
