There have been two pretty big DLCs (Doja Cat and Liz Katz), a graphical overhaul, character customisation, and lots of little tweaks. You don't really need a walkthrough to play it any more, but quicksaving often and loading is pretty essential to getting anywhere.

How did the game change to not need walkthrough anymore?
Are there markers that direct you towards what you need to do?
Also, i remember there was erotic scenes, have those been locked behind a uncensor dlc totally? Or is that just to remove the black bars?

The game has threesome cutscenes in various areas (Gazebo, ArtRoom, Guest room, main bedroom) and they have only been censored which sucks cause I find it appauling to actually pay for something that's a core part of the game (you can't call "sex and nudity" a DLC) when the main game only covers it up and you gotta pay for something that shouldn't cost anything. I get that Doja Cat and the others are valid DLC's but the "ADULT CONTENT" dlc should be made free by the devs.

This isn't quite accurate. As somebody who's been following the game since it's release, here's what actually happened:

The game was originally uncensored with pretty janky sex scenes. It was kind of like the characters were just being nudged toward each other. Steam removed the game from the store, stating that they don't allow adult games, so the game was then censored, and an (off site) uncensored patch was released. Then Steam changed their policy, and Eek made that patch an official FREE DLC.

It was that way for years until eek completely revamped the way the adult scenes work. They replaced the janky sex scenes with actual high quality sex scenes, and they made two sets of them. One set has full nudity and shows more, and the other set still shows some nudity but just enough to stay within a Mature rating.

It was only then, that the charge for the DLC was implemented because of the time and effort they put in to recreate all of the adult scenes for that patch.

I should also add, that Eek gave everybody a 6 month warning to download the DLC for FREE to have it (for life) if you still own the game. They specifically didn't create a new product so that anybody who already bought the game wouldn't be charged for the DLC, only new players. They never took anything away from anybody who already bought the game, and they also give said DLC away, new scenes and all, for FREE to anybody who bought the game BEFORE they implemented the new structure.

Sounds correct. I remember playing it and downloading a patch somewhere.
Did the game become easier in any way? I was always just following walkthroughs and did not like that.

They added a lot of tools to help with opportunities. There is an opportunity window now (if you press o) that lists all of the opportunities you have, and usually what your next objective is, and then a memories window if you missed a thought bubble or major event, it's usually listed in there. They added a lot more thought bubbles as well for parts that are tougher or ambiguous. They also added a lot more of the NPCs talking in the background that give you clues. So the short answer is yes, but you still have to pay attention to what's going on.
