August 2022 Custom Story Audit

I will be taking inventory of old or buggy stories over the course of today.

Some stories are using deprecated criteria or other old story data elements and are not currently playable in House Party 1.0.0. These stories will be immediately disabled, and are listed below:

• Nemesis Party Beta
  
• New Game Plus
  
• What dat mouth do
  
• Free Sandbox Party [EN]/[FR]

Users should feel free to either swap to a Beta branch of the game to play these stories, or uninstall them, or simply wait for them to be updated by their author(s).

If you are a CSC author of one of the above stories: once your story is updated to be fully functional with House Party 1.0.0, please reply to the post on our official forums directly or notify the moderation team on Discord.

I will also post this message in our Discord (link below). This post will remain stickied for approximately one month to allow story creators ease-of-visibility.

Technical Notes for authors:
Most of the affected stories run into serialization issues because of the use of a disabled criteria such as IsAloneWithPlayer (should be using the IsOnlyInVisionOf criteria or a combo of other currently available criteria) or PlayerBeingSpokenTo (should be using the IsBeingSpokenTo criteria).

We recommend that all CSC authors update their stories to 1.0.0 at their earliest convenience. Furthermore, if your story is only meant to be played from the perspective of a single player gender, we recommend ensuring that the correct Player Gender settings are selected on the Story Collection object for their story. These are found at the top of inspector tab for the Story Collection/Story "root" object, and are two small check boxes. At least one must be selected. Setting these appropriately will ensure that players cannot access content in your story that uses gender-inappropriate context, tone, pose selection, intimacy settings, etc. For gender-neutral stories, both can be left checked/on.
