Movement for controller
It's total ♥♥♥♥ , Left stick moves fine, right stick barely moves at all, so i'm forced to have one hand on controller and one one the mouse, and even then it moves like total crap. WTF? This is basic ♥♥♥♥, how have you not figured this out by now?

The game wasn't meant to be played with controller, that's why. Why don't you just use a keyboard and mouse like a normal PC user?

It has controller option, not very hard to do. They should just make the damn thing work.

I never said it didn't have a controller option, I said it was designed to be played with a mouse and keyboard. Eventually they will have better functionality with controller, but it's not exactly a priority. You have to take into account that Steam is a PC program, and around 99% of people who use Steam have a keyboard and mouse available to play games that were designed for them. It's cool that you want to be a part of the console clique and use a controller, but that's a minor concern for people that develop games for PC.

Because isn't a FPS? People use controllers also on pc in 2019, this is not call of duty

I'm usually good at deciphering people's weird replies. Yours is a little out there. You realize FPS games are more popular on consoles, right? The average FPS gamer is playing on an Xbox, using a controller. You also don't know your statistics. Just because YOU have a controller doesn't mean everyone who owns a PC has one.

@Lustre You only want to make controversy. In this discussion we are only asking for better support for the controller, nobody cares if you do not like it

Except there are already threads talking about controller support. I decided to take this post down a notch because the OP was being a ♥♥♥♥ about it. The game runs perfectly with keyboard and mouse, so why not just play using the method it was designed to be played with? Doesn't make sense to me that you'd get Steam, buy games, and NOT use a keyboard and mouse to play games that were made for it. Instead of making repeat threads about controller support, why not read the other ones, understand that they are working on it, and then just playing with a keyboard and mouse until then?

Store page even says "partial controller support". Pull your head out of your ass. The game is compiled of premade unity assets, and has hardly changed with all the "updates". You'll get your controller support in like 2 years

I got everything configured to use a controller, You need highest senstivity in the menu for both mouse and X and Y sticks to have some decent movement, after that well your stuck because the moment you interact with anybody or anything you can't just push over and select what you want, your forced to use the mouse(with its now crazy high settings)

This game can really be optimized well with a controller, it has that feel to it. It just needs to be completed - whenever that happens

Edit: thinking about it now if the change the sensitivity for the controller to the mouse sensitivity and make the movement Stick as a means to move towards an option in the interactive menu while using the interactive button to select the option, you could have full controller support for this title.

Hey OP, did you ever figure it out? I'm having the same issue.

From another perspective, I had a serious wrist/forearm injury with permanent and painful side-effects. As a result I am unable to play with m & k for any duration of time. A controller is much more comfortable for me. Each has their own preference - depending on what they are use to (some people grew up w/ PC, while others had only a console). I for one appreciate any PC title that includes controller support. That being said House Party needs some tweaking on this end. Although a minority in the PC gaming arena, it is still a fair size number of potential customers, which is growing as more and more realize the liberty and freedom PC gaming brings in customizing/upgrading your rig, the diversity of game genres and of course modding. Gaming is about enjoying yourself regardless of the input device you are using.
