It's the weekend and we barely have a handful of people employed, *some* of whom just got through more than one 80+ hour work week (and naturally not everyone does technical support). Sorry but that's the reality of the situation, and we did not experience this issue at all in testing and I am currently unable to reproduce this issue on three separate machines.

When you say it starts and closes, what is going on in the Task Manager? Hit CTRL ALT DELETE and check the Task Manager, see if HouseParty.exe is still running.

Here is additional info I need that was posted in a separate thread:
-----
Can you all post system specs please (at minimum CPU, GPU, Windows version, memory amount)?

Also please copy paste the location where your HouseParty.exe is located. Do you have a custom location set up for your Steam Library?

If you run HouseParty.exe directly from your Steam Library folder, does it react differently?

I know you weren't, it's all good. Just have to clearly set expectations is all. You should be able to run the game based on system specs. If you roll back to 0.10.4, any issues? You can do this by right-clicking on the game in your Library, hitting Properties, then Betas, then in the dropdown choose 0.10.4 and then Close. Wait for it to roll back, and launch. Going back to 0.11.3 is as easy as selecting NONE (the current live/most recent update after a release day is always on the NONE branch) then Close.

Are you familiar with pastebin? Could you provide a copy of your output_log.txt from C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Eek\House Party ?

No, this isn't sufficient. And I mean that in regards to us, not you. The game you paid for should absolutely not be doing this to you or anyone else, and you should be able to play 0.11.3. Do you have time to go through some possibly random-sounding troubleshooting steps?

Anyone having this issue, please go to Steam, find House Party in your Library, right click on it, select Properties. Then once the Properties window appears, go to Betas. Please select "testing" from the dropdown list, and then hit Close (no code is needed). Your game should update to a testing version (it will show the word "testing" next to House Party in your library) we have active right now that includes changes that hopefully will fix this issue for you.

Erasmus,

I'm having a similar issue. I followed your instructions and I can report:

0.10.4 works
0.11.3 does not work
testing branch does not work

Task manager reports the EXE is there and running, but no window opens.

I am having problems with other Unity games doing the exact same thing (House Flipper).

I have a PC with above recommended specs.

I have nothing in my output_log.txt file and there are no 'crashes', just no starting.

So. I'm having hte same problem over here:

Here's the specs:
CPU Intel Core I5 - 2500 g.g ghz
GPU AMD Radeon HD 5800 Series
Windows 10 Pro
24gB ram

The screen keeps black ater an initial loading and the sound keeps playing. After a while it crashes.
It works okay when I change to 10.4.

Do you need the output_log? How can i send you that?

Really hard to say. All I know is I have two Unity games that are expiriencing the same problem, that were both updated around the same time and stopped working around the same time.

At least with House Party, I know I can revert to 0.10.4 and it works again, so it must be something related to the game rather than my system.
