Lety censorship

Lety always seems to have the censorship on no matter your setting after this patch. Is this a glitch or did Lety (uh, the real life one) not want her digital self to be nude any more?

Not a glitch, steam version will censor all characters resembling real people.

The upcoming advertised character will also be censored on steam.

Non steam versions of the game will not be censored and there are no plans for realeasing any patch.

They says that in dlc page. Lety cannot get uncensored until Steam policy changes.

I guess if a game is offered by more than one seller, Steam should be the very last choice. I'm fine with that!

No they need to offer each and every one of us a NON STEAM copy for FREE we paid for this.. Or remove those people from the game or alter them.

Exactly. Wish I could refund on Steam so I could take that money and support the devs elsewhere :( Not like it's their fault.

I mean is it really piracy if you already paid for the game? That's what I'm doing with this Steam censorship BS.

Maybe a dev can chime in on what they think about us pirating their game if we own it on steam and give us their thoughts?

If you've supported us to any degree financially, anywhere, we aren't going to take issue with you doing what you have to do to get the most out of the product. As long as nothing is being rubbed in our faces, no trolling is occurring, etc...there's a certain amount that can go unspoken in many exchanges here. Wink wink, fondle fondle.

In terms of the product itself, however, and what does get "spoken" of, we're obliged to fully comply with Steam's requirements. Inconvenient and vaguely worded as they are. This includes the Community Discussions TOS, which I feel is relevant to this line of conversation. *Cough* https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/6862-8119-C23E-EA7B And of course we have no control over the moderators, algorithms, or policies of any sites not fully under our ownership. Which, spoiler alert, are extremely limited in number.

As for this issue of Lety being censored, I have the utmost confidence that our brilliant community members will find a solution, in time. They're just...oh so very, very crafty.

I think a patch hosted outside steam. Should be offered by the devs. So players don't actually have to pirate the game their bought in order for them to actually experience it as you intended.

No need to pirate the game, just the developers create a command line (patch) that removes the censorship as there was in the past. It's like you're taking a small file from the internet and putting it in the game folder to remove censorship. (formerly the patch was just a notepad.txt, you put it in the folder and the censorship was removed).
But if this is not possible, it will be difficult to sell a product that contains censorship.

I think that would be against the rules if the devs made a console command to remove Lety's censorship (correct me if I'm wrong). But maybe a modder outside of the dev team could release a patch to fix it.

another option would be for the devs to offer some kind of optional patch or free DLC that replaces the faces of the characters that "look like real people" with faces that aren't based on their likenesses. Then that rule would not apply. So people who want those few character uncensored can get what they want, and the people who care more about the celebrity faces can keep them.

You are not wrong. We were skirting a very fine line having a .txt solution for as long as we did.

Again I have the utmost faith in our community. I wouldn't be surprised if they came up with a uniquely mindblowing solution in, eh let's say...30-50 days from now.
