A brownie is also a baked good.

This brings up a good point as far as the current community translation project goes. I'm always curious and fascinated at the thought of translating these types of metaphors into other languages. How would the concept of "Brownie points" be converted into a Russian translation? Would it be omitted entirely or replaced with something else that's sort of relevant?

Localization is first brahriority then if it's still doesn't make sense like Patrick on booze, it is recommended to leave it as is.

Brownie points is related to the idea of being a "brown noser" someone who kisses ass (Sycophancy) and by doing so makes their nose brown. "Brownie Points" is then the idea of keeping score how much you have kissed someones ass. For the other part of the joke "a bakers dozen" this is a play on words because a brownie is also a word for a chocolate cookie/cake. Hopefully that helps you understand the joke.
