Help, wont download stories from server!!

Just bought this, went through step by step and made sure my firewall isn't blocking it and I disabled my antivirus software, yet it still has issues connecting and downloading the story from server, and I have no internet issues, is there another workaround? Thank you, any help is welcome.

Didn't even know there was a way to download stories anywhere besides the forum.. Might be your issue?

Doesn't it come with the original story though, since it says downloading from the server, but then it just stops.

Oh that's what you meant, yeah no clue man. Just loaded mine and it worked just fine o,0

If you're looking for the original and tutorial, you can find those here for now:

Just gotta put them in the local Stories folder.

Thank you, the link wasn't working earlier, kept taking me to 404 error, but now if I may ask, where is the local Stories folder located, Ive looked in the game folder in SteamApps/common/House Party, but can't find it.

C:\Users\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\Documents\Eek\House Party\Mods\Stories

I,ll try download it again, because I did that and there is no folder Eek or House or anything in regards to the game, but thanks for the help anyway :)

I have the same problem. Have you found out the way to solve it?

I just created my own folders (Eek/House Party/Mods?Stories), pasted the zip file in them and reinstalled game and it works for me now.

Hi. I have the same problem now. Game worked fine before, but now cant download newest updates from the server. Tried everything this discussion says, but game still wont download stories from the server. Any idea to fix this?

You will also find a link in this troubleshooting guide that will allow you to manually download the newest story content, and Chinese translation files.
