Console to enable achievements again?
Patrick glitched in the small table between the sofas outside and Frank couldn't fight him there, so I teleported Patrick to me and now he's fixed and roams around again but achievements are disabled.

I'm pretty far into the game already, so is there a command to turn achievements back on?

And why is this achievement disable stuff even in there, what's the point? If you want to cheat achievements, you can use other hacking tools, that target Steam directly. Disabling achievements in games is just annoying and pointless.

How did you teleport Patrick? If you use the "warpto" command, yes that will disable achievements. The "unstuck" command teleports an NPC to the nearest "safe spot" and does NOT disable achievements.

Since I know people are still running into that post-combat "stuck" issue and the "unstuck" command isn't broadly advertised, I can say this much: there is no command to re-enable achievements, but if you open up your save file (C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Eek\House Party\Saves -> and then version\savename) there will be a value entry for "Cheated":"1". You can change that to "Cheated":"0" and the save *SHOULD* still work. Doing this in some editors seems to break saves. IIRC if that value is 1 the game won't log Achievements locally either...but you might as well delete this folder as well: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Eek\House Party\Achievements\Original Story. No guarantees this will work for your current playthrough but those are the two primary roadblocks for Achievements that I think of without getting on my PC.

As for why? Subjective. We don't believe in them being easily earned, and with console commands they'd be earned in...well...how fast can you type? :P

I'm just asking because I used the console commands for the first time, do they disable achivements or do they simply continue if I start a new game?

They disable achievements for a single playthrough. So if you start a new game, achievements are enabled again.

Yeah, adding an item to inventory via the console would disable Achievements.

However, right now we are experiencing issues with Achievements being earned in Steam. That is not on you. It may be on us, or something in the Steam API or an add-on for Unity that changed that we neglected to keep up with. We will have that sorted out for the next update.

They should still pop up in-game if you have not earned them yet or have deleted the \Achievements folder in the \Documents\Eek directory, AND are starting a new game without the use of cheats. And when Steam Achievements are working again, those should register immediately with your Steam client.

We've got a handle on what happened with the Steam Achievements getting disabled and have fixed it internally. We'll be testing it prior to releasing 0.14.4, which will be out within approximately 1 week's time.

Hi! Was this bug fixed?
I used a cheat and now the achievements are disabled! :(
Using notepad to change "Cheated":"1" to "0" broke the saves!

That is not the bug that was being discussed here. The bug that was being discussed was an old one that was preventing registration of Achievements with Steam during a legitimate game session, i.e. one in which no cheating occurred.

Being able to edit saves to re-enable Achievements after having used the command console has never been our intent; that is working as intended.

The original discussion is about a guy who use a cheat to teletransport (warpto) a character to another place and this action disabled the achievements. That's exactly what happened to me, but instead of use teletransport, I used a different cheat that gave me again an item wrongly used by me in the begining of the gameplay, not available anymore and necessary to complete a quest near to the end of the game.
The cheat I used was: player inventory add chocolate

Is there any cheat that doesn’t disable achievements that I can use to reset a NPC because Lety is stuck on the gate saying “oh” over and over but I can talk to her but it does pretty much nothing and also Leah is stuck cant interact with her at all. This happened when I invited Lety and then Leah went to go talk to her outside.
