Since I know people are still running into that post-combat "stuck" issue and the "unstuck" command isn't broadly advertised, I can say this much: there is no command to re-enable achievements, but if you open up your save file (C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Eek\House Party\Saves -> and then version\savename) there will be a value entry for "Cheated":"1". You can change that to "Cheated":"0" and the save *SHOULD* still work. Doing this in some editors seems to break saves. IIRC if that value is 1 the game won't log Achievements locally either...but you might as well delete this folder as well: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Eek\House Party\Achievements\Original Story. No guarantees this will work for your current playthrough but those are the two primary roadblocks for Achievements that I think of without getting on my PC.
As for why? Subjective. We don't believe in them being easily earned, and with console commands they'd be earned in...well...how fast can you type? :P
dont know exactly what my problem is, but i used a command to add 50 bucks to my wallet and achievements got disabled, i play a new game, didnt work; i deleted the "Eek" folder, didnt work, i searched the "cheated" value in the savegame file, didnt find it, i uninstall the game and install it again, didnt work, my steam achivements are totally disable, i dont know what to do anymore...
However, right now we are experiencing issues with Achievements being earned in Steam. That is not on you. It may be on us, or something in the Steam API or an add-on for Unity that changed that we neglected to keep up with. We will have that sorted out for the next update.
They should still pop up in-game if you have not earned them yet or have deleted the \Achievements folder in the \Documents\Eek directory, AND are starting a new game without the use of cheats. And when Steam Achievements are working again, those should register immediately with your Steam client.
I used a cheat and now the achievements are disabled! :(
Using notepad to change "Cheated":"1" to "0" broke the saves!
Being able to edit saves to re-enable Achievements after having used the command console has never been our intent; that is working as intended.
The original discussion is about a guy who use a cheat to teletransport (warpto) a character to another place and this action disabled the achievements. That's exactly what happened to me, but instead of use teletransport, I used a different cheat that gave me again an item wrongly used by me in the begining of the gameplay, not available anymore and necessary to complete a quest near to the end of the game.
The cheat I used was: player inventory add chocolate
unstuck Lety
