Intimate Animation Updates?? Other Ideas/Additions
I know that a lot of things are being worked on but the intimate animations definitely need some polishing and better syncing/anchoring. The models are always clipping or poorly synced. And when you switch positions the transitions are very janky. Maybe add some transitional animations, for example, transitioning from doggy to missionary, the player charatcer pulls himself out, the NPC crawls across the bed giggling, flips over and lays on their back and the player is repositioned and reinserts himself and continues.

Options to go slower or faster would also improve the immersion and add some variety to the visual experience. Add the option to lick, bite, kiss body parts. Grab, touch, squeeze, fondle, finger and insert parts etc.

Foreplay is definitely something that should be added at some point. Magically shifting from standing to her being on all fours and your dingus being inside her can't be comfortable lol

Also, as an example, Stephanie and Madison react positively to you unzipping your pants. What about adding some more touching/groping or flirting options as alternate social avenues to gaining or losing attraction? I mean, because Rachel and a few other NPCs have "flirt" lines but many of them are just the bad choices in contrast to the good ones. Having other social options unlock when you reach a certain affection level would be fun when you can't pursue certain stories but would still be able to entice or seduce NPCs you can't do the story for?

For example. Lets say you did the story line where Stephanie helps Katherine. She isn't drunk or tipsy, but there is extra dialogue or "basic" lines that you can use to still become friends or besties so they can assist/help you with other stuff like say the Scavenger Hunt quest. Lets say you gave Madison her phone and pranked Ashley, Madison would allow you to take the credit card rather than having to steal it and risk getting attacked by Frank? Or if you inspected the credit card and then asked Madison about it then she tells Frank that you can have it. Similar to the empty vodka bottle in the cabinet where you inspect it and ask Frank if you can have it.

Having options like that would definitely smooth over some of the random issues where someone walks by and sees you take something and then Frank attacks you.

I totally agree with your sentiment, but we do need to consider that they are a very small team of devs (less than 10 if I recall) so a lot of what your asking for would add maybe another year into the dev cycle. I believe that Eek is intending to release mid to late next year, so we should temper our requests for either future DLC or their next project: Office Party.

That being said I do think they should prioritize streamlining and improving intimacy considering it's what many of us purchased this game for. From what I know they work with a mocap studio so I think they should take some time to have transition animations filmed and implemented.

Other than that I feel that the only other necessary changes would be deformation and better physics during intimacy if you know what I mean. As for any additional game mechanics I would say that one more anchor point on the groin for the grope mechanic would be a nice way to top of that (also seperate anchor points for the left and right breasts/buttocks).

Finally, a few more intimacy positions for seated intimacy would be much appreciated. Maybe the devs could make additional intimacy positions for DLC packs as well as one or two more male characters to offer more gender/sexual variety to the party.

We'll see I guess...

Honestly the animations that already exist should be polished before they start work on new ones. They only recently added some other wall animations and maybe a few others. And even those are not as good as they could be.

Since they are already making changes to or have recently adding new quest/character content/material it would make more sense to work on improving or expanding the way we interact with the NPCs to improve the experience by adding some more detailed interaction options. Maybe even add hotkeys for flirting/groping etc to make the experience flow a little better. Like if any female NPC walked past you close enough to interact with you could say slap them on or pinch their booty!! Of course that would only be something you did with NPCs who were attracted to you at a level of at least or more than BFFs lest you get yourself slapped and Frank called to knock you flat on your butt.

I know its just my opinion, but perfecting and fine tuning what already exists should always take priority over newer content.

Yeah. We have seven people in total that are officially "Eek! Games", but in terms of staff that directly create content or touch the engine/script, it's one writer and four nerds.

In regards to all of the intimacy feedback: we're going to be working on a review of many of the intimacy animations with the mocap studio we work with (mocap.me / Take One) as well as implementing a new offset data system that will allow us to fine tune body part positions, rotations, etc. on a per-character basis. Together, these steps should allow us to greatly reduce clipping and make intimacy more attractive overall.

As for "transitional" animations (bear with me on the exposition here)...a big issue here is that the game was never intended to prioritize sex above -literally- everything else. I know, I know :rolls-eyes:::steamfacepalm: We've been called a "porn game", intimacy mechanics ARE very important to us, and yes, they are a big reason for why many people bought the game. But to us, at the big-picture level, it's a first-person adult story game, and the engine is structured as such. The engine is event driven, with a focus put on prompt event execution and transition from event-to-event, regardless of what story is being played, and regardless of in-game location or context (outside of a limited set of restrictions), and all in real-time. If you try to abuse the console aggressively or play around with/make mistakes in the Custom Story Creator, you'll really get what I mean. Outside of the graphics and animation of the models themselves, 95% or more of the player-interfacing content you enjoy is hand-scripted. Nothing is hard-coded or locked in such a way that it could be considered a "cut scene", which is really where beautiful, lengthy, AND natural/fluid animation mostly occurs in games. Or at least Indie ones, AFAIK.

So anything that delays the termination of events, or makes their use or graceful functionality highly situational is unlikely to be pursued. Attaching lengthy or complex transitional animations is much easier to do in a game (or in the cut scene of a game, see above) where there's no expectation (from the engine or story creator) for a character to be able to terminate the act and walk away, turn, talk, teleport, pass out, or animate something else in a matter of a second or so. Also, since intimacy can occur in a very wide number of locations, transitional animations would need to take into account far more wall, floor, object, and navigable object (character) placement concerns. The Original Story is not how we define the total functionality of the engine, so what you see there is not all we have to take into account.

That being said, we are aware there's room for improvement and while that improvement may not take the form of multi-second, forced transition/termination animations, we'll do the best we can where we can.

As for changing NPC behaviors and adding new/different reactions, again, we'll do the best we can. We've got a decent amount of time before exiting Early Access where minor-to-moderate tweaks can be made.

Up until I started actually being involved in the development of games, I would have agreed with you, 100%. E.g. "STOP CHANGING THE @!%ING DPS META AND FIX THIS FIRST!" :steammocking: However, the reality of business needs, varying forms and vectors of outward perception, looming future project(s), and general development workload/timelines make "always" an impractical standpoint. We do intend to go through at least one 'polish' phase (in addition to the intimacy review I mentioned) before exiting Early Access. That is on top of the QA testing of old and new content we do as part of each release. So we are taking the "pursuit" of perfection seriously, at least.
